More than a decade after the first extravaganza, the O.J. Simpson media circus is back in town.
Simpson was released on bond late Wednesday and returned to his Florida home after spending three nights in a Nevada jail on charges ranging from kidnapping to robbery and weapons charges. He has not entered a plea.
The cast of characters we remember (or would like to forget) from the mid-1990s murder trial that had millions glued to their TVs will no doubt return in some form.
The script is different this time, but all too familiar.
O.J. has a new lawyer, not the late Johnnie Cochran.
The "Free O.J." shirts have already been printed up. "If the glove fits" cliches have been replaced with un-funny "What happened in Vegas ..." one-liners.
The Goldman family is back, looking for money to avenge their son's death, and touring the talk shows for interviews to share their pleasure of possible jail time for Simpson.
It's too early to tell who will play the part of Marcia Clark, Mark Fuhrman or Judge Alito in this new drama. And it's anyone's guess who will take the stand as the next Kato Kaelin.
Could the O.J. sequel end like the first? Is there enough evidence? There are rumors of a setup.
According to The Associated Press, legal experts say the prosecution's case could be clouded by issues including who had rightful ownership of the goods and the reputation of witnesses in the sometimes less-than-reputable world of memorabilia trading.
One thing that has NOT changed in this new storyline: America's craving for scandal.
Call it O.J. 2.0.
Remember, in 1994, bloggers didn't exist. Court TV gave us O.J., not the Internet. There were no camera phones in the courtroom. No TMZ exclusive. No "Celebrity Justice."
Be sure of this, America's appetite for this story will be far greater than it was back then and so will journalists vigorous reporting of it. It will NOT be lessened because we've heard it all before and we're tired of it.
O.J. 2.0 will be enhanced by the Web, streaming audio and video exclusives downloaded to your iPod.
But while the internet has made everything better, faster and up to the minute, O.J. is older. He 60. American can handle O.J. 2.0, but can he?

Seffanie, have you any idea how many Blacks have been unjustly prisoned and possibly given death for a crime that they did not commit? If a jury found OJ not guilty, then, that's what it is! No one cares whether OJ like his own Black race. We are talking about the way Black People are being treated "PERIOD" by this so called justice system. How would you feel if lets say, your son, father, brother, husband or any male family member was being taunted this way for a crime they did not commit? Mark Firman need to be further investigated, he's an evil seed, capable of murder and deceit. If a jury found you not guilty of a crime, think about how you would feel if the Media came after you the same way! I know you would not feel good about it. So stop and think about what you say, before you say it!

The bottom line here is, white, black or any other color. It is the crime he's being prosecuted for and not his color. The news media are the real criminals here with the way they create contreversy and keep beating a dead dog story for ratings and glory. Do you think an average Joe "black or white" would of received this much press time for this? I think not in my opinion.

sigh... This man needs to go somewhere and sit his ass on down and shut the f__k up ! I apologize for the implied profanity but, It is merited when speakin' on dis fool. What is it with him? Is he stupid? Does he just crave the publicity, no matter WHAT the reason. I think the latter is more than true. He's an ebarrassment. Oh yeah, he still lookin' for da REAL killer(s)??? It seems to me, that OJ is an EGOMANIAC(among other things).

Where is Robert Blake? I remember the media saying that he killed his wife! Why in Hell are'nt the media running behind him and all these other folks that has been named suspect in a loved one's death? Why don't these racial white folk and some of the wanna bees who are black, leave this Damn Man Alone (OJ Simpson)the world know the reason the media is doing what they are doing to OJ he's Black and he like White woman! So what? That's his choice! I'm a Black woman as he is a black man but, who am I to judge this man for the choices he makes in his Life! Who are any of us to Judge OJ? I know one thing for sure, once a man is found not guilty of a crime, he is a free man! Obviously the laws are different in California. But I will say this, Just as another person posted, These Evil people will get theirs! No doubt... and when your day of judgement come, just remember what your attitude was like toward one race of people! and it's all because of the Color of our skin! Just as whites did not have the right to chose the color that they are, It's the same for Black people and you hate us because of our skin tone! All of You will have your time, just you watch and see!!!!
