Four nooses were found Friday around the campus of Andrews High School in High Point, N.C., (where Fantasia Barrino once attended) police said. Two nooses were hung on a tree in front of the school, one was in a bus loop near the upperclassmen's parking lot, and one red noose was tied to the top of the school flagpole, High Point Police Capt. Margaret Erga said, citing a police report. School administrators discovered the hate symbols around 8:30AM and notified the authorities.
Extra police officers were brought to the campus and security was in force at Andrews High School for the remainder of the day. No charges have been filed however, it's still under investigation. No one is sure if this incident is related to Jena Six as some seem to feel it could also be a prank related to Andrews's football game with Asheboro High School last Friday night.
Regardless of who the culprits are, Andrews school system is vocally adamant that they will not put up with "this type of behavior." "These discriminatory acts will not be tolerated in or against our schools," the school board statement said. "Those found to be responsible for this criminal act will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

I wonder if he considers this HARMLESS... and if it were HARMLESS...then why are criminal charges pending the outcome of the investigations? Mr Watts speaks of 'us' bringing this on ourselves out of one face and puts 'us' down with the other face. Wow... I guess 'we are our own worst enemy'.

I keep thinking that this is a bad dream. Then i listen to the news and relize that it is not.I am afraid for my children. We are going back in the world and my children have to face cruel and mean people .when i try to tell then that this problem exist they laugh at me and think im being crazy. u see they are part of a interacial family. they are part of a rainbow tribe. they hate no one color they just see people when people are mean to them they are doing it to be mean, not because of their color. My best friend is a white women i love her as my own sister. we tell colored jokes all the time. but now we are being careful of our words. why? How can i explain this to my tribe? There is no wher in the world i rather live. So help me people, help me live a pieceful life .

I feel your pain, Angie, I am raising girls to be strong and independent, but how do I tell them to react to this type of hatred, when I don't understand it. I have many friends of different cultural backgrounds, and I love them because they have taught me so much, and vice versa, I call them my rainbow coalition. When we talk, there is always something interesting to share. I don't understand, and I guess I never will, how people can be so evil.

come on people u have not learned yet, the world does not belong to the any man, whether u r black, white, green, or yellow man it belongs to GOD and we r just here 4 a spell.so u should be able to get along w/people where ever u may go, because ur days r not promised. do what u need to do. if u don't like ny one outside ur race then stay home in ur own house and let ther world be at peace.

Sadly, I must say...What do you expect from the South? I was on a construction job site in Cary, NC in the late 90's and my foreman, self proclaimed. exalted cyclops for the Johnson County, NC KKK, hung a noose in the break room. After an investigation by the EEOC and a cash settlement, guess what he received as punishment? A promotion and a new Ford F-150 from his company. Don't be fooled people the south is and always will be "dirty".
