The search for a Chicago woman who has been missing for more than a week is over.
Police in Calumet City, Ill., say the body of Nailah Franklin was discovered Thursday by a forest preserve near the spot where Franklin's car was found abandoned.
Franklin, a 28-year-old pharmaceutical sales representative, was reported missing Sept. 19. Her car was discovered in Hammond, Ind., near an abandoned building.
Nailah Franklin's uncle, Dwayne Johnson, said authorities told the family they found his niece.
According to The Associated Press, shortly before she disappeared, Franklin filed a police report about getting threatening phone calls from a man she had dated briefly. She also sent an unusual text message to her family.
Family members and volunteers have papered the area with fliers and taken out a newspaper ad seeking the public's help, offering a $10,000 reward for information.
No suspects have been arrested in the case, which is surprising, considering all of the evidence, phone calls, the police report and the car.

This is so senseless and tragic. I will pray for her spirit that it makes a safe journey home & for the comfort of her family. The world is so crazy now. You truly have to be appreciative of every moment with your loved ones cause you honestly never know what may happen.

Sadly for us God has reclaimed one of his angels, forturnately for Heaven, another angel takes her place. May God bless her family in their time of bereavement.

I pray that God will bring healing to your family.
I know you are hurting right now but God has said that we can lean hard on Him. He is strong when we are weak.
I will continue to pray for you. I pray that Nailah is with the Lord.

I live n chicago and like many others i was praying 4 a good outcome. I'm soooo sorry this is how this young woman life ended. I have young adult women who i aways tell them DON'T JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER! Just because it looks good and talks a good game please trust your mother wit(common sense) it will never lead you wrong. Unfortunately Nailan meant one of those INSANE men who takes pleasure in frighten women. I hope the cops have enough evidence to catch this fool.
My prayers and good wishes goes out to this young woman's family. My heart hurts for the sister who wouldn't give up on finding her sis. God Bless her and the other family and friends.

I also heard of these sad turn of events thru the Michael Baisden show and as he continued to talk with her sister I felt in my heart she was not going to return alive and now the family has to deal with this awful tradgedy that no family should have to encounter. The news of hearing about how they found her body made me feel sad today. Just thinking about how the sister was on the radio pleading for her sister's safe return yesterday makes it all more heartbreaking for the family.
