A new autopsy report shows that a 14-year-old killed last month in a confrontation with D.C. police died of a gunshot wound to the back of his head, according to the Washington Post. The report notes some fishy cuts and bruises from blunt force trauma on the body of DeOnté Rawlings as well. The police version of events is that DeOnté was shot in a running gun battle and he opened fire on the officers. More than 2,000 miners evacuated a South African gold mine Thursday after an elevator broke and left the men angry and stranded underground. No one died in the mine incident near Johannesburg more than a mile underground, according to The Associated Press. The workers were brought up in a second smaller elevator, looking dazed and exhausted. "We nearly died down there," one man yelled as he walked past reporters. This week friends and family mourned the death of Nailah Franklin, a 28-year-old Chicago pharmaceutical sales representative who went missing and was killed last month. Police found Franklin's body within miles of where her abandoned car had been found, just days earlier. According to the Chicago Tribune, law enforcement has said she was not shot or stabbed. An autopsy did not determine the cause of death, so the case has yet to be ruled a homicide. A man whom Franklin filed a protection order against has not been named a suspect.

re Naila Franklin: Do you think law enforcement botched the crime scene? Did they look for needle marks to the base of the hairline in the back of her head to find out if she was killed that way. The poor woman was found nude. Seems to me something is very fishy about this. I hope they hurry up and find out who did this to her. If she was Caucasian she would have had the FBI, etc. beating the pavement at all hours trying to solve her murder.

Just speaking in genral terms we have a wave of hate crimes in the U.S.-it's like anti-semtism that Jewish peopel warn starts up and speads like a virus. Racism and hgate crimes against blacks have been a large issue for deacades by not just whites but even mexicans and when you put it all together the crime against blacks triples any other crime in the U.S. against any other ethnic group.

as someone who goes out and puts up missin gkids posters on my own dime let me tell you that if we were to make as much noise over our missing people as we do about perceived racial injustice or the jena 6, then we wouldsee the media cover ing it.
