According to the Associated Press, Williams thought she was going to a party when she tagged along with a woman she says she hardly knew in one of her first public interviews. . "I realized I'd made a bad mistake."
She has no doubt that she would be dead if the police had not shown up on a tip.
Six people accused of becoming her captors are charged with sexually assaulting Williams, racially taunting her and forcing her to eat rat droppings. They are scheduled for court in January.

Lord, just have mercy on their souls. I know racism is alive and well, especially in the south, but this is really just sick and sadistic. It truly hurts my heart to know people carry so much hatred in their hearts to want to do what they did Megan.

This is why young people should be careful of whom they associate. In following someone she hardly knew, looking for a good time, Megan Williams ended up in a horrific situation. Megan, was known to stay away from home for days at a time. In doing this, her mother did not think to look for her, even after missing for several days. It is unfortunate but this happens in families when a young person is expressing their independence. Because the child feels that they are grown and are determined to do their own thing. Parents can only pray that their child will make it home safe. I am in no means saying that Megan deserved what happen to her. No one deserve to be abused the way she was. But this should stand as a warning to others, please be aware of the people you associate with.
Remember Jeffery Dahmer, (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) in the early morning hours of May 27, 1991, 14-year-old Konerak Sinthasomphone (the younger brother of the boy Dahmer had molested) was discovered on the street, wandering nude. Reports of the boy's injuries varied. Dahmer told police that they had an argument while drinking, and that Sinthasomphone was his 19-year-old lover. Against the teenager's protests, police turned him over to Dahmer. They later reported smelling a strange scent, which was later found to be bodies in the back of his room. Later that night, Dahmer killed and dismembered Sinthasomphone, keeping his skull as a souvenir. This could have been the same situation, if the police had not believed Megan.
I believe that people that do these things to others like, Megan, believe that these people are NOBODIES. That is that nobody cares or will miss and come to look for them. Therefore it is permissible to do what they do. I do hope that the NOBODIES that did this to Megan, are punished as an example to the others that view humans beings in this manner.

In these last days and times, may God have mercy on us all and remember, if you don't forgive others for their transgressions, God will not forgive you! Think about it. Don't let anyone or anything stand in your way of heaven. One last thought. Most white Americans have been somehow, some why convinced that racism no longer exist in this great country. After reading about Megan Williams and her ordeal at their hands, I wonder if they think that this vicious act is a racist one. Peace.

Yes they should fry because that was inhumane the way they tortured Mrs. Williams. WOW! i dont't know what to say i'm speechless ,that was a mean and evil act which in time they will have to pay for everything you do in life. Don't worry God is watching over you because he sent that man that heard your cry for help that's why you are alive to get "JUSTICE" YOU DESERVE!! my prayers to you and your family.

# 4. Well put. I have a 17 yr old daughter. At times she and I clash in our personalities. There was a time she and I had a terrible argument and she did not want to stay at home with me. Fortunately, I called her father and she stayed with him for a few days. I know she can't wait until she turns 18 to do certain things so I've already let her know I won't put up with foolishness in my home. I say this because yes, I am sympathetic to Megan and I will pray for her mental and physical recovery. I may not understand the full compacity of what Megan's mother must feeling but I know her heart is terribly broken. I pray that justice for this crime will be served under the full extent of the law. May God bless you Megan and your family.
