According to the Associated Press, Williams thought she was going to a party when she tagged along with a woman she says she hardly knew in one of her first public interviews. . "I realized I'd made a bad mistake."
She has no doubt that she would be dead if the police had not shown up on a tip.
Six people accused of becoming her captors are charged with sexually assaulting Williams, racially taunting her and forcing her to eat rat droppings. They are scheduled for court in January.

The devil is alive.God will prevail. They will suffer just as she did.Young ppl please be careful in choosing your friends wisely.I know this this an awful example ,but this is what happens when you go with ppl you don't even know.

I wonder sometimes, "Is Racism hidden in the South"? These people and the young lady who took her up there
should have their "private" parts removed and the ladies should be "sewed" up permenantly. This is a horrific crime to happen to a person, Black person at that. It reminds of the movie that Samuel L Jackson played in when his little girl was tortured by some white people, rapped and hung and left for dead. Yes they should be given the death penalty right away. I can't see no jury acquitting them or giving them a light sentence. Yes, Megan forgive them so that God can have mercy on your soul. One more thought Megan, don't leave home again and stay for days at a time. Let your mother know where you are going and with whom. May God bless and keep you and hold your head up right. Prayfully, you will change your life and give it to God.

this crime is so horrific. its a shame that racism still exist in 2000, but it does. SO BE AWARE TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION. I HOPE THE FRY FOR WHAT THEY DONE TO MEGAN>>>BUT TORTURE WOULD BE BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I first read this story, I just broke down and wept. How can anyone do such horrific things to another living soul, and to a naive young girl no less?
But I am so glad this story has had national attention. We NEED to see how racism can create such evil. Even a year ago, the kidnapping and torture of a young black woman would have barely been noticed. But her story needs to be told, all of America (and the world) needs to see what hatred can truly be capable of.
As for these people who committed this horrific act, they will get theirs. Once they are sent to prison, there will be NO protection for them. We don't have to wish them harm. It will come on its own.

It makes so mad and very sad that any human being could have been treated this way. The crime here is so sick and cruel I pray that Megan can recover from such an ordeal.

In a racist and evil society like Amerikkka no one should be surprised by the level of bigotry and hate that exist towards African Americans and other minority groups.This is not an isolated incident and unfortunately this behavior will continue as it has for the past 400 years.
