Rodney King, famous for a videotaped beating from Los Angeles police back in 1991, was shot and wounded on a San Bernardino street corner late Wednesday. King called police just before midnight to report the shooting. According to Sgt. Don Lewis, King was struck in the face and arm -- with what appeared to be pellets or birdshot. When police arrived at King's home, they reported that King and others inside appeared drunk.
The man got shot in the face -- he deserves a drink!
King was taken to a local hospital, and his wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.

This is the payback we get when we stand behind someone just because they are Black.
He was on PCP at the time of the beating, which accounts for how he was able to SUSTAIN, such blows with a BATON.
We rioted and ruined our neighborhood, and since he has paid this race back by having a wrap sheet as long as his arm, SINCE THE BEATING.
He was given 3.8 million dollars and is still a DSYFUNCTION.
THey are having a ball with this one over at T-M-Z.
We love to stand behind Black people, despite them being NEGATIVE.
GUESS WHAT IT MAKES US LOOK LIKE A NEGATIVE RACE.
JESUS.

To Just Saying...
That is why it is important to find out the facts before jumping into action to support someone. Support should be given to those who are innocent and miss treated, not to those who are wrong to begin with. King just keep making mistakes.

It does not matter what white people think or feel about who we support or don't support. The white collective should not be the measuring stick by which we look at ourselves. King made some mistakes so what he is still our brother in trouble. King getting in trouble doesn't change how we came to know him in the first place.

I do not have a lot of respect for Rodney King but I have to say that regardless of what kind of drugs he was using, he did not deserve to be beaten like that.He was obviously subdued and yet these "officers" continued to pummel him without mercy.Black, white or purple that was wrong.Rodney King is morally bankrupt but he is a human being. As far as the riots go;the looters could have cared less about King. It was merely an exscuse to rob and steal. Tell me this: why did they destroy their own community instead of going to Semi Valley and destroying theirs.

I agree with you on most points James. Police have made it a habit of beating black people to a pulp and then trying to justify it. Rioting is an excuse for people to steal, and destroy other peoples property. There is no excuse for that. They didn't need to go to Simi Valley and riot either, because that's not the answer. People need to educate themselves and be smart in life choices so as not to put themselves in precarious situations that invole the corrupt police, because no matter what we were told as children, the police are not our friends.

Mr. King is unfortunately, dysfunctional. He's the Black race's version of Brittany Spears. It's sad to see him floundering in life and I truly hope he can turn his life around for the better.

Rodney King is a product of the black race that survived the genocide of the 1960's, 70's, and 80's when drugs were poured into the black communities where there were ppl who were tired of being low on the amerikkkan totem pole so they turned to the drugs that were made so available, some sold and some used. My point, you can't blame Rodney for being black and only he can atone for his sins, but had those four cops had beat a white man like that drunk of sober they would have been fired on the spot.
