NBC has since suspended Shuster from all news broadcasts. Clinton should also refuse to participate in MSNBC's Feb. 26 debate. Gender matters. And there should be consequences for gender stereotyping.
In 1988, one wag quipped that George H.W. Bush could not bridge the gender gap because he reminds women of their first husband. Perhaps Hillary reminds male pundits of a former girlfriend or ex-wife.
In any case, the National Organization for Women is circulating a petition calling on the media to report the facts and leave the drama for their mama.
NOW's concerns were echoed by Washington Post media critic Howard Kurtz who wrote: "And therein lies the key to the way news organizations have framed this campaign. Whether it's cleavage, cackling or crying, as in Clinton's case, the personal trumps the political. Tackling what is actually happening -- the candidates clashing on the issues, making speeches, piling up delegates -- is insufficiently exciting compared with speculation about what might happen down the road."

Black Voices are 3 days late on this "Pimped Out" story still trying to give life to a racial statement that wasn't racial. The goal of this attack on MSNBC is "Free Media" at the expense of a critic. Chelsea is the child of Billary. Was she asked if she wanted to participate or told? This is like having a child take over the family business. It's just assumed the child will. David Schuester needs to be defended in this case. The Clintons were having problems raising funds and she is strongest when under attack. Free Chelsea. It's wrong for the Clintons to dangle her like "Fresh Meat" to the college age kids just like it was wrong for President Bush to shake the Twins at America too. Politics is all about exploitation. Who defended Chelsea? Isn't she all grown up now? She's fair game and this is nothing more than a "Free Media" money grab! With friends like these that's not a change it's a switch.

but, The clintons are trying to win this election at all costs and they are dirty politicians the way they are playing the game against Obama.

I wasn't going to say anything more about this story, but MSNBC just allowed Rep. Patrick Kennedy to slap the Democratic strategist responsible for the "Swiftboating" strategy. MSNBC is wrong to allow Patrick Kennedy to go unchallenged. If you remember, John Kerry got past the initial "Swiftboat" assault. He was clearly ahead after the first debate, Bush had the box for the second, and Kerry dumped his team. The Clinton loyalists took over and reinjected the war records back into the campaign. The forged documents offered to embarass President Bush brought back the attack. The forgery generated sympathy for Bush. Clinton's loyalist did in Kerry! We had 10 million still in the bank.

How come Bill is so offended by a few words SAID about his daughter he wasn't worried or all in an uproar when he was tapping Monica or what her parents thought and she was definitely a young girl and what about Jennifer Flowers and the other women he was involved with what about their parents? When it is his daugher the Clinton's have the nerve to feel offended? Give me a break!!!!!!

The expression was used properly, just as it was used properly when another broadcaster said the Bush pimped out Patreaus. I don't have to agree with what you say, to defend to the death, your right to say it.

That statement was way over the top and wrong. To insinuate a mother "pimping out" her daughter is truly offensive. All the of candidates have young people handing out bumper stickers to people so, why can't your own child do it too? If my mother or father were running for anything political I would be beating the street just like most sons and daughters. Support starts at home. That's not pimping...that's love.

But it's TRUE. Like the first person said, BV is late. She had a breakfast date with a 21 year old superdelegate. You have to take into consideration the context the statement was made. He wasn't on a street corner. When you "pimp out" someone, you're taking advantage of them. Hillary Clinton IS taking advantage of her daughter's youth to attempt to appeal to young voters and still this superdelegate's vote.

I am a little irritated too. When Chelsea was a minor, the media was asked to leave her alone which seemed appropriate. Now that she is an adult in her twenties (like the Bush twins) I think she should be able to defend herself. If Mommy and Daddy did not want her name in the papers or mentioned on television, perhaps they should have kept her away from the campaign. They have certainly done a great job of keeping her away from all reporters! Has anyone noticed the number of interviewers she has given, or how many times Chelsea has been allowed to say anything other than "Vote for my mom, she'll make a great president?" What a sock puppet!
