No Obama Votes in NYC - Is This Some Florida B.S.?

Did the New York City election officials pulled a jack move on Sen. Barack Obama on the night of the Super Tuesday New York State Primary?

The New York Times found that in 80 of NYC's 6,106 districts, Obama did not get a single vote.

This includes Harlem's densely African American 70th district, as well as others where black votes weigh heavily. Sen. Hilary Clinton won in the state where she serves as junior U.S. Senator, and of course New York City is the most populous city, and gave her the victory.

It's not like Obama doesn't get support there. ...

You should see the Obama flyers on the doors of damn near every business in Brooklyn. I ain't seen so much as Clinton graffiti on the subway. So how is it that whole city voting districts come up with no votes for Obama?

For example, in the 70th district the count favored Clinton 141-0, but when they checked it out the count was revised to 261-136. In one Brooklyn district, the Times reports, the score was 118-0, but it was later changed to 118-116.

I smell some Florida B.S. going on here, and that whole debacle pissed me off so much I was ready for war. But whether you're in New York, California or Guam, as an American citizen you have the right to hold your election commission's feet to the fire. Google your state, county or municipal election commission so that you know how to contact them and know who the officials are so that you can make sure your vote is counted.

Don't let ANYONE get in the way of your most fundamental right as an American. Too many people have given their lives so that you can have your say in where the country is headed. And damn the "electoral college decides it all" argument. The electoral college generally pledges their votes with the popular vote. In 2000, Bush Inc., went to get their patrician cronies on the Supreme Court to hand them the White House.

If you take a stand at the ballot box, you can prevent that garbage from ever happening again.
