In this amazing primary season, superdelegates are the new swing voters. Under Democratic Party rules, these elected officials and party leaders are to exercise independent judgment and make their decision based on what is in the best interest of the party. In making that determination, superdelegates will look at electability in the general election. Their bottom line: Is Clinton or Obama better positioned to turn red states blue?
Like it or not, those are the rules. And many don't like rules that dismiss the will of the voters and that could lead to chaos at the national convention. With uncanny prescience, Will Rogers observed: "I don't belong to any organized political party. I'm a Democrat."
Meanwhile, the mess with the Florida and Michigan delegations is getting messier. Florida Sen. Bill Nelson wants the national party to pick up the $18 million tab for a do-over primary. Nelson apparently didn't get the memo that the Democratic National Committee is too broke to pay attention.

Hillary's "Arkansas Roots" are showing. She's acting like a "Huckabeen." Her ego is so out of touch with reality that she can't accept doing the right thing for the Party. Hillary should pledge her delegates to Al Gore and accept the first seat available on the Supreme Court. Let America decide if they want to go with Al or bet the farm on Obama? Nobody has a better resume than Al Gore. Obama is clearly the future. The first Black VP almost guarantees the first Black President. That's a landslide ticket! Al Gore wouldn't continue reading "My Pet Goat!" The man has been humbled by God!

....SUPERDELEGATES SELECTING WHO/WHAT'S BEST FOR THE PARTY AND ELECTABILITY?...COME ON, THEY SURE AS HELL BETTER THINK ABOUT IT....WHAT'S BEST FOR THE PEOPLE? WHO'S GONNA WIN?...IT'S NOT HILLY, 25% OF THE DEM VOTES WILL GO TO MCCAIN IF HILLY IS NOMINATED....AND THE DEMS WILL HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN, EIGHT YEARS DOWN THE ROAD......... Hillary is suggesting a dream ticket with Obama in second position she is trying to use mind games to make you think she is winning, but nobody is going to buy into that. The fact of the matter is Barack is ahead, no matter how many times she tries to convince you that she is the front runner. I am glad that somebody finally said it and called her what she really is "A MONSTER" and a witch on top of that Omaha Ne. Patricia

There needs to be more transparency about super-delegate selection. The Wikipedia, for example, and some other sites have good background, but more is needed, especially in a voter-friendly format.
Disclosure of the names of the super-delegates would also be fair, especially if there is a situation where a super-delegate may ignore the vote of her or his constituents. In that event, the constituents should have some sort of notice and due process.
Is the Democratic party going to be democratic, or what?

A BLACK PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN THIS DAY AND TIME WILL NEVER WIN A ELECTION IN THE UNITED STATES BECAUSE OF RACISM, NO MATTER HOW QUALIFIED HE OR SHE MAY BE. BLACKS WILL ALWAYS BE QUESTIONED FOR PROFECTION, DISPITE OF THEIR WHITE OPPONENTS.

It does not look good for OBAMA in regards to Superdelagates which can cause a losing battle for OBAMA, although he is the best candidate for president.

If Hillary gets this nomination by hijacking it with the superdelegates and the Florida/Michigan trick. I and all of the intelligent balck and white Americans will have to vote for MCCain in the fall and have another 4 years of George Bush politics. How sad for America.
