Is Justice for Sean Bell Any Closer?

As expected, there's a lot of confusion and contradiction in the police shooting case of Sean Bell. While Queens waits for the outcome, and Bell's family waits for justice, the lawyers are running the show.

The damn lawyers!

In this New York Daily News story, Bell's folks seem to think that the prosecutors aren't being tough enough on the cops involved. ...

But the truth is in New York, the relationship between the District Attorney's offices in all of the Five Bouroughs and One Police Plaza has always been highly politicized, and the ground must be tread lightly, or risk poor cooperation in future prosecutions.

Right now though, I think some of the best coverage of this whole issue is on WNYC's The Brian Lehrer Show. In fact, it's probably the best radio program in the entire New York metropolitan area. Steve Harvey, Wendy Williams and Funkmaster Flex could learn a thing or two from this cat.

Check out the continuing coverage of the Bell trial via podcast below. They've promised to keep people abreast of what's happening and they haven't failed since the shooting.
