Obama is being harshly criticized for having a pastor who holds challenging views on race in America. Hillary Clinton has used this moment to express her religious views, chiming in: "[Rev. Wright] would not have been my pastor. You don't choose your family, but you choose what church you want to attend."
Interestingly enough, a story has broken about the type of "church" Hillary Clinton does choose to attend: an organization cultivated in an open quest for power with a controversial history, an un-Democratic modus operandi and ties to destructive political regimes. These facts will be explained in detail in 'The Family: The Secret Fundamentalism at the Heart of American Power,' by Jeff Sharlet to be published in May.
Columnist Barbara Ehrenreich reports that Hillary seeks spiritual guidance by worshiping with The Family, "a collection of powerful right-wing politicos, who include, or have included, Sam Brownback, Ed Meese, John Ashcroft, James Inhofe and Rick Santorum." During the 1940s this religious organization "reached out to former and not-so-former Nazis, and its fascination with that exemplary leader, Adolf Hitler, has continued, along with ties to a whole bestiary of murderous thugs."
Interesting. To quote Ehrenreich further:
The Family avoids the word Christian but worships Jesus, though not the Jesus who promised the earth to the "meek." They believe that, in mass societies, it's only the elites who matter, the political leaders who can build God's 'dominion' on earth. Insofar as The Family has a consistent philosophy, it's all about power -- cultivating it, building it and networking it together into ever-stronger units, or "cells." "We work with power where we can," Doug Coe [The Family's leader] has said, and "build new power where we can't."
Obama has made every effort to explain himself and his religious beliefs, while attempting to bridge the racial divide. What will Hillary have to say of her "chosen family"?

I'm so tired of people saying "if you don't love this country get out" and go where?this country is not some perfect place where everyone is equal and loves one another like you would love to believe because you do not feel the after effects of our nations history far and not long past. Only those who do not not struggle or who'e not seen their parents struggle and who have not been taught certain damaging mentalities that have been handed down for generations on end. This country's largest problem is ingnorance by choice. whatever does not suite an American's beliefs or social standing does not exsist or should be forgotten. people like you are said choosing to be ignorant because you do not want others to speak. if you feel you have nothing to do with it then it should not effect you when others use thier voices to let the rest of humanity hear what other humans are experiancing. this country and other european based countries have damaged the world why should we who have been displaced be displaced again to an even more desolate environment because you are tired of hearing about your own history and being faced with the effects our history has had on your/our neighbors?

Black Americans have been through more by this country than any other nationality here. it still stands you can choose to ignore and turn a blind eye but just because you choose not to look out your window does not mean that that everyone walking outside doesn't get rained on.

I am not surprised, with her demeanor, it well explains it in full. Another heap of mess from Hillary. That's why no one can/should cast the first stone. She's too far gone in her mess, I wonder what lies she will reveal now. Sometimes it's best to leave well enough alone. In Hillary's case it was just a matter of time, since she had been to notoriously pointing fingers at Obama and the pastor. Secure the hatch, it's about to be a brawl. (((DUCK))), all I can say.

For Cecil Jones
There is indeed a black church occasioned by the very racisit and seggregationist attitudes that Rev Wright seaks about. Remember the history of our people in the US. We were not always good enough to worship in the chirch with white people so we had our own black church. Remember the Bible in South Africa under Apartheid a regieme that the US supported until the worlds moral persuasion forced it to accept change, did state that Black were to be held in bondage by whites.

In 1961, a young African-American man, after hearing President John F.Kennedy's challenge to, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country," gave up his student deferment, left
college in Virginia and voluntarily joined the Marines.
In 1963, this man, having completed his two years of service in the Marines, volunteered again to become a Navy corpsman. (They provide medical assistance to the Marines as well as to Navy personnel.)
The man did so well in corpsman school that he was the valedictorian and became a cardiopulmonary technician. Not surprisingly, he was assigned
to the Navy's premier medical facility, Bethesda Naval Hospital, as a member of the commander in chief's medical team, and helped care for
President Lyndon B. Johnson after his 1966 surgery. For his service on the team, which he left in 1967, the White House awarded him three letters of commendation.
What is even more remarkable is that this man entered the Marines and Navy not many years after the two branches began to become integrated.
While this young man was serving six years on active duty, Vice President Dick Cheney, who was born the same year as the Marine/sailor,received five deferments, four for being an undergraduate and graduate student and one for being a prospective father. Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, both five years younger than the African-American
youth, used their student deferments to stay in college until 1968. Both then avoided going on active duty through family connections.
Who is the real patriot? The young man who interrupted his studies to serve his country for six years or our three political leaders who beat
the system? Are the patriots the people who actually sacrifice something or those who merely talk about their love of the country?
After leaving the service of his country, the young African-American finished his final year of college, entered the seminary, was ordained as a minister, and eventually became pastor of a large church in one of
America's biggest cities.
This man is Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the retiring pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ.

#77 TOM- ALL I HAVE TO SAY TO YOU IS STFU BECAUSE YOU SOUND RIDICULOUS!
#83 DAPHNE - UNFORTUNATELY BLACK PEOPLE WILL NEVER BE EQUAL TO WHITE PEOPLE NO MATTER WHAT THEY THINK OR FEEL. YOU MAY ACQUIRE MATERIAL POSSESSIONS AND WHAT YOU DEEM GOOD JOBS BUT WHEN YOU MOVE INTO THEIR NIEGHBORHOODS AND WALK IN CERTAIN AREAS THEY MAKE IT ABSOLUTELY CLEAR TO YOU AS A BLACK PERSON YOU ARE NOT EQUAL TO THEM NOR DO THEY RESPECT YOU OR WANT YOU AROUND. ALTHOUGH THEY MAY SMILE IN YOUR FACE AS IF THEY RESPECT YOU BUT REST ASSURED BEHIND YOUR BACK AND OUT OF THEIR PRESENCE YOU ARE SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY. IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THIS NOW YOU WILL SURELY KNOW IT LATER. BECAUSE THEIR TRUE COLORS WILL ALWAYS REAR ITS UGLY HEAD. THEY CANT HELP IT, ITS THEIR NATURE. EMBEDDED WITHIN THEIR VERY SOULS. #85 - LAMB YES THERE WAS THE STORY CIRCULATING AROUND THAT THE KKK ENDORSED OBAMA BUT IT WAS DEBUNKED AS A FALSE ARTICLE.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THE CLINTONS ARE LIARS AND FIND IT CONVIENANT TO USE BLACK PEOPLE IN ANY MANNER THEY DEEM FIT. THEY STARTED THE OBAMA RACE ISSUE AND NOW HELLIRY SETS IN BLACK CHURCHES PUTTING ON A SOUTHERN DRAWL. INSULTING. BASICALLY THIS WOMAN IS TELLING BLACK PEOPLE THAT YOU ARE SO UNINTELLIGENT AND EASILY DUPED THAT THEY WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING. YES, I SUPPORT OBAMA BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN HIS CAUSE AND ALSO BECAUSE HE IS BLACK!! YES WE CAN! TO BE HONEST IF SEPARTION OF THE RACES WERE ON THE TABLE WITH SEPARATE GOVERNMENT I WOULD JUMP ON THAT IN A HEART BEAT.
