Barack Obama offers himself as the antidote to Washington's partisan gridlock. There's no question that voters are sick and tired of politics as usual. But for many Americans, Obama's diagnosis is a bitter pill to swallow.I used to live in San Francisco. I had a quaint apartment in Russian Hill but I left because I'd had enough of the city's anything-goes values. A mansion in Pacific Heights is the wrong venue to riff on what ails small town voters and their values.
In 1984, President Reagan coasted to victory deriding "San Francisco Democrats." A generation later, San Francisco is still out of touch. Exhibit A: A taxpayer-funded "Sanctuary City Outreach Campaign" to promote illegal immigrants' access to public services.
While I loathe guns, I appreciate that hunting is a tradition. (Think Otis Redding, Carla Thomas and "the Georgia woods.") I've had countless conversations with black folks who told me they bonded with their grandfather or father while hunting.
And few communities "cling to religion" more than African Americans. For most of our history, "leaning on the Lord" was all we had. We proudly lift our voices and "sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us." Indeed, faith sustained Hurricane Katrina survivors through those dark days when they were abandoned without food or water.
Obama has since expressed deep regret for his words:
So I said, well you know, when you're bitter, you turn to what you can count on. So people vote, they vote about guns or they take comfort from their faith and their family and their community and they get mad about illegal immigrants who are coming over to this country or they get frustrated about how things are changing. That's a natural response.Americans in small towns and big cities are indeed mad as hell about illegal immigration. Last year, outraged citizens shut down the U.S. Capitol switchboard in protest of John McCain's amnesty bill, which was supported by Obama and Hillary Clinton. American voters rejected this bitter pill as an assault on national sovereignty, a threat to national security and an affront to the rule of law.

Obama – Black is Wright
Obama attracts thugs and bullies to his campaign and personal life and is able to do so with impunity.
If Obama where Caucasian, he would have been bulldozed by the media long ago.
Look at Obama’s affiliations:
- Senator Meeks who openly hates whites and gays and is listed prominently on Obama’s campaign website as a major Obama supporter and backer and is one of Obama;s super-delegate. Mr. Meeks has been integral in Obama success in politics.
- Mr. Ayers of the Weather Underground, a group that killed police and tried to bomb the US Capitol, served with Obama on the board of the leftist foundation called the Woods Fund.
- Robert Malley a close senior adviser to Obama who advocates negotiations with Hamas and providing international assistance to the terrorist group.
- Larry Sinclair alleges in 1999 Senator Obama’s arranged to meet him in a limousine, sold Senator Obama cocaine and then gave Senator Obama oral sex. Larry then claims that he and Obama went to a hotel and preformed oral sex again. Mr. Sinclair is testifying in court under oath that these allegations are true.
- Mr. Auchi is an Iraqi billionaire and major financial sponsor and closely connected to Obama’s rise to power.
While working with Saddam Hussein, Auchi made his fortune through the selling of arms in Iraq and the funneling off of money from the Oil for Food program.
- Mr. Rezko an Iraqi citizen and Obama’s and Auchi’s long time friend of 17 years and a major mob figure. Rezko is NOT known for his civic sense of duty and does not do favors without asking something in return. Coincidently the Chicago Times reported yesterday that Rezko was negotiating to purchase rehab buildings in Obama’s district.
- Mr. Wright a racist who hates America and whites (and Italians?). Mr. Wright has been Mr. Obama’s spiritual mentor for over 20 years. Before the media exposed Mr. Wright, he was Obama's chief religious advisor on Obama’s campaign staff. Mr. Wright and Mr. Meeks are ideologically closer to Karl Marx and Black Nationalism, than to Christianity.
- Rashid Khalidi a fundraiser for Obama and is one of Obama’s close friends. Khalidis claim Israel as a "catastrophe", and supports Palestinian terrorist groups.
- Mr. McPeaks is Obama’s military adviser and national campaign co-chairman who publicly states that American Jews are the "problem." and “Christian Zionists were driving America's policy in Iraq to benefit Israel.”
- Michelle Obama trumpets Obama as “the second coming of the messiah,” and also states that she “has NEVER been proud to be an American in her adult life".
The list goes on…
How can Obama’s bad judgment to choose to affiliate with criminals and fanatics be justified?
Hey everybody - am I missing something here?
Are we so in love with the color black that we forget to see the man?

Why is the truth the hardest bill to swallow. I am very proud that Senator Obama is standing his ground. He spoke the truth, and most people can see it. The ones that are affended simply can't handle the truth. People are bitter, I am bitter! I'm bitter because the current administration (Bush and Chaney)have taken this country to it's lowest level. When I get up in the morning and try to decide whether to pay a for medical coverage or pay on my son's college tuition, the choice is hard but simple. My son's education comes first because his future is most important. But how can I support his future when I can't take care of the present. For those of you who still have jobs, congratulations. For those of us who are struggling to make it from one day to the next with nothing but our faith and prayers, hang in there. Our government has failed us and it hurts. We need change, we need Barack Obama.

Obama is learning a hard lesson: Voters do not like the truth. Tell them whatever they want to hear to make them feel secure in their stupidity and denial, and you can get their votes. Here is Hillary Clinton, a Democrat suddenly promoting guns when she has made some of the most anti-gun statements in the past. And she gets a free pass by the media for her comment about going out and shootin on the range. I've visited many small towns, and yes, there is a palpable xenophobia that cannot be denied. And yes, most pro-gun sentiment comes from small towns. Are they going to argue this? I guess the most bitter pill is the one that OBAMA has to swallow: Don't tell the electorate the truth; keep them happy in their oblivion...until you're in the White House!

What Obama is trying to make us do is to accept him on "Blind Faith." He came out of nowhere to win a Senate seat and he just kept running for the White House. We don't know what he stands for. We don't know for what he is willing to fight. We know he is surrounded by controversy, but we need clarity. All we needed was someone who would pledge to "Support and Defend" the Constitution. Immigration is the selective enforcement of the law in relation to the borders. That's a national security issue that can only be addressed with a real fence. Illegal immigrants can't stay in America without some way to make money under the table. That's selective enforcement of the labor laws for profit. Race is about unfair competition resulting in economic benefits and justice for all. Everything right and wrong in America can be fixed by supporting and defending the Constitution. Spying domestically ends if the Constitution is respected. Equal justice is achieveable with full faith and credit. America was built on the inequitable distribution of economic benefits and justice. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s check bounced. Would a bad check make you bitter? Would someone constantly in your face demanding payment make you bitter enough to grab a gun and pray? Barack is an opportunity to put all this behind us if we have the courage to invite people with the right words to the table. This clearly isn't about Obama.

Please, I have to ask: Has anyone seen Sen Clinton's North Carolina ad with the ninety-one year old Black female? She appears to be the only Black in the room. I am very uncomfortable with this ad. Are you?

I am apalled and disgusted with how the media is so eager to assist Hillary Clinton in shedding a negative light over Obama. It is clearly another one of her derisive tactics to reposition the finger of doubt that is pointing at her because of her outright LIES or did the media just conveniently forget about that? I wonder how many payoffs she and her husband have given to the media in an attempt to remove their constant struggles with public shame? She is clearly threatened by Obama's clean campaign, and as always, she reverts to the only tactics she's comfortable with, and effective at...mudslinging, lies and propaganda which is very typical of the Clintons'.

I live in a small town. There were two factories here. They closed down and now people have to drive a good distance to get to work.
A few years ago, a poultry plant opened here in the couty. It is about 10 miles out of town but local people could not get jobs for a long time because they were brining in Hispanics by the van loads. That is until the feds came in. Our town was being taken over by these people. And it seemed that the county was just falling over backwards to accomodate these people. I kept thinking, my people have been over here for hundreds of years and they try everything they can to keep their foots on our necks. When the Oakland School System talked about using Ebonics in school, the country went wild and how our people were beaten when they tried to retain any of their cuture. However, when you go into a grocery store, everything is written in English as well as Spanish in order to accomodate them.
It does cause me to become bitter when I think about this. I'm not upset with the hispanics, sub-consciously, I know that they are victims.
And I do know that when people loose their jobs, when they have crisis in their lives, even when the war broke out, people flooded into churches.
I live in a small town in America and I most definitely am "BITTER"!

2 weeks ago when Obama spoke the truth open race he was praised by the media and when he spoke the truth about economic issues he's getting killed. In both cases some element of negativity was referenced (his grandmother and the Penn. people's bitterness).
So why the media flip flop?
A)That's just what the media likes to do. Tear down top dogs, and root for underdogs, so they keep changing Hillary and Obama's role from "top" to "under."
B)HOW you give a message is crucial. He openly gave the race speech. But for the bitterness thing the media had the impression they had caught something said in a semi-closed door fundraiser. So for them its a gotcha moment.
But don't sweat it. Hillary will put her foot in her mouth before the week is out.
