There's a picture of herself in handcuffs to remember it by.
My prom was not this cool. ...
See, Marche Taylor's golden gown was ruled inappropriate for her senior prom before she even set foot on the dance floor. School prom bouncers told her the skimpy number violated the school dress code. She offered to cover up, but still, no dice.
Then the school officials thought she was rollin' commando (no panties). Taylor, who's 17, corrected them, telling them that it was really none of anybody's business what was under the dress. That's when things got outta hand. Next, the police showed up. (No, not the fashion police.) They handcuffed her and escorted her out.
So, the school has a dress code and she violated it. Case closed? She wouldn't be caught dead wearing this gold two-piece swim suit in algebra class. It's not OK for prom, right?
"I actually like the dress. Everybody else likes my dress," Taylor told CNN.
Yes, honey, you'll be hard pressed to find a horny-hormone ragin' boy at your school who would not like to see you half naked. But I'm sure you are a beautiful young woman fully clothed!
Now, Marche just wants is her money back for her prom ticket.
"They didn't give me any options, but to go to jail or go home."
Prom Dress Arrest
Marche Taylor's prom night ended in a confrontation with school officials and her being escorted out in handcuffs. All because school officials said her dress was inappropriate for the school prom.
CNN
"I actually like the dress. Everybody else likes my dress," Taylor told CNN of her custom-made dress. Madison High School Principal Aubrey Taylor said says the dress was inappropriate and violated the rules of dress code.
CNN
She was told her dress violated a school dress code. Here she is pictured with her friend in the lobby of the prom hotel.
CNN
The high school senior offered to provide more cover, but Taylor was still denied access to the final dance of the school year. At that point, Taylor told CNN she was furious. After all this was her senior prom. She argued if she couldn't get in, she wanted her money back.
CNN
A photographer snapped a photo of Taylor in handcuffs, being led out of the hotel.

the dress was a little over the top but to have her arrested was way over the top, if there was a dress code then fine just tell the girl to change, even if she did fuss with the teachers she should have been given her money back and sent home

No one even mentioned whether or not she had a date, and what he was thinking. As for her parents did you ever think that maybe she left the house in one dress and changed somewhere else, its possible. Also in this day and age some children think that they can do as they please and suffer no consequences, they will holler child abuse but what about parent abuse, it does exist.

This is a disgrace. How do we ask young brothers to act right and respect women when they come out in public "dressed" like this? TO borrow a phrase from Dave Chappelle, she may not be a whore but she is wearing a whores uniform.

She looks like a low-class prostitute. Her parents should have been arrested for allowing her to leave the house like that. The fact she believes her dress looks okay just goes to show how low-class and skanky a person she is even as a teenager. I can only imagine what kind of person she's going to grow up to be. Not the kind to become an educated successful Black woman. She's more likely to become somebody's bitch or whore living in the projects raising her out-of-wedlock children on welfare. She's one truly ignorant person. A mind is terrible thing to waste and this girl is definitely wasting hers!

I am sad that she has been given such a hard time about a dress. Clearly
she is needing negative male attention and thinking she will be getting
positive attention for being "hot". I wish someone would tell her about
self respect and loving yourself. If she had it, she wouldn't dress to only
get the attention from young men who only want her for one thing. Girls
arent told enough, that they are enough. Their insides. They feel the need
to show more to get what they lack. (Generally an absent or neglectful father figure) and want male love to replace what dad hasnt given them and instead, get the opposite of what they are looking for and then get hurt when they were only wanted for sex. I feel bad that she feels that is all she is worth. Kids that dress like that, strut like they are confident but anyone who is truely confident doesnt need to undress or wear next to nothing to be confident, so she is only kidding herself. It is a shame all
around. The school has every right to stop girls from soliciting themselves like that and if anything, they did her a favor. Maybe she will reflect a little and see this as just an embarrasing time in her life she will never repeat and think more highly of herself. Walk tall and be empowered and fulfilled by who you are, not what you can offer men. Being sexy is healthy. When you are in public have self respect for yourself. Dressing sexy/ attractive and dressing like you are offering up yourself are two totally different things.
