I purposely avoided the whole Rev. Jeremiah Wright controversy because frankly I thought it was pile after pile of pure, smelly, smudge-on-the-concrete B.S.
After the Wright sound bites played over the air thousands of times and was embedded all over the blogosphere (and as far as I know could be the background of a new FreeCreditReport.com commercial) it became kind of clear that it had nothing to do with Barack Obama's presidential candidacy.
But even though my reaction to Wright himself is to just shrug my shoulders, I wonder what if Obama's reverend was someone really worth scrutinizing. So without further ado, I present to you the Rev. James L. White!!!
Damn, that Richard is funny!!!

One of the most valuable lesson that I have learned from the Wright controversy is to hold my opinion and judgement about anyone until I throughly investigate the information for myself. So many people have wrongly judged Rev Wright and Trinity UCC based on the slant that the media puts on its stories. No one has investigated the Wright controversy nor do I think anyone wants to know the truth. It's much easier for people to form snapped judgements based on misinformation and I will never do that again black or white.
Peace

Here we go again..... ..Can't we all just get along?
c'mon....Who living here doesn't see a need for a proud America? America does need a change. If we only knew all the things that have been kept from us. Like the so-called "global warming" issue... it's all nature, signs of the times not pollution and interference by man in the earth's atmosphere...it is written that when Jesus comes for The Righteous,,, Revelation 7:16 - They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.....And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes...
Revelation 16:9 - And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.
Unless America repents we shall all likewise perish. WE NEED A CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN and LIVE!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that it's just awful that the media has stirred up this big mess about Rev. Wright. I'm sure that he's a fine man with a Saintly nature. He'll probably be a real man and forgive all of his detractors for the terrible things they've said on TV and in the print media about him. I just hope the devil-media doesn't damage Senator Obama's reputation by continuing these attacks on his pastor. I've been attacked myself by a deranged woman right here on BV and it feels really awful! Love & PEACE OUT.

REVEREND WRIGHT: A SYMBOL OF THE PAIN AND ANGUISH OF THE ELDERS.
Personally, I do not believe that it ever was Reverend Wright’s intention to harm anyone, but merely to table some important issues and begin the healing of our country.
Still Reverend Wright is asking no one to like him, neither do I for that matter, and he is definitely no politician. He ain’t kissing nobody’s ass or groveling for love from a system which has typically destroyed a large bloc his people, by placing them on the block.
Then brainwashing the new generations to forsake the building of families in the interest of personal success until they either forget, or minimize the memory with large shiny objects until they no longer share a bond with their descendants of despair. He is taking his opportunity to be heard by America on issues that he feels are important.
Dissenting opinions are legal in this country, so why shouldn’t an individual express an opinion about the state of his own affairs, especially if they are unsatisfactory? Blocking out all those who are more interested in fitting in than they are into Black empowerment.
Reverend Wright and the other elders in the Black community have been eye witnesses to more than their fair share of the bullshit this country has laid down than the rest of us. They are finally taking this opportunity to be heard nationally, loudly, vocally.
And since he is an elder, well let’s just say he has a right to be heard, when he should be heard is the thing that I take issue with.
Bottom line, I think Reverend Wright and those African Americans of the gray brigade are so pissed they don’t care what you or I or Senator Obama think at this point. I think he is living proof that the forgiveness doctrine of the Black church, which has kept us docile has finally proved out to be pure fallacy.
But I am sure they all want to see an African American President of The United States during their lifetime, the same as most of the intelligent younger folk.
To reconcile this within themselves amid the pain and anguish they have experienced, combined with the stories they were told by their ancestors. They must use abstract political thought to the highest degree
in order to gain the recompense they so honorably deserve.
They must imagine this country as it could be and should be for those who have paid the price for the opportunity to be heard. And I for one am determined that they be heard.
Those that don't like what I have to say
KISS MY ASS!!!

I truly don't think any of this is funny. We are voting for the President of our Country, the United States of Ameica. Be it McCain or Obama, it should be a man of knowledge and honesty.
That Obama sat in his church with Rev. White, and never heard a word he said is beyong belieiveablility.
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR.
