Many black people once regarded Bill Clinton as a hero. But the former President threw away his 'Black Pass' popping off at the mouth in South Carolina comparing Barack Obama's win to Jesse Jackson's.
And Hillary Clinton's first foray into color tinged political knuckleball came when she appeared to diminish Dr. King's impact on Civil Rights legislation. By her campaign's end, Clinton was extolling the electoral potency of "hardworking white" Americans.
Now for the record, I do not believe the Clinton's are racists at all. It's more cynical than that. They were ruthless in courting the white vote and willing to say things and allow things to be said that caused real hurt to many of their formerly "ride or die" African American supporters. The Clinton's were too quick to forget that during the darkest daze of his presidency, Bill Clinton called out for help and black preachers answered; black preachers including Reverend Jeremiah Wright.
But on Saturday, Hillary Clinton conceded and did the right thing. She delivered a rousing speech declaring her intention to "work her heart out" for Barack Obama and unequivocally encouraged her supporters to do the same. So at least that means no more Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D)-OH hyper-enthusiastically pushing Hillary's superiority to Barack Obama to any reporter who'll listen.
So my question is, will blacks and the Clinton's just kiss and make-up? Or is this divorce court?

I have to SEE IT in order to BELEIVE IT! On Saturday, Hillary did what she was suppose to do but, I could see in her EXPRESSIONS that it was HARD
to say what she said about OBAMA and working really hard to UNITE the PARTY to work together? It seemed that she was UN EASY and it looked like she had a FORCED SMILE? That's my opinion.
Yes, there has been some BAD BLOOD between the two parties but, it's going to take some time to HEAL the DEMOCRATIC PARTY and all the Clinton and Obama Supporters as well. It can be done but, it's going to take WORK!

Yeah, we'll forgive her- but we'll never elect her to the presidency... And I may not vote at all if she's on the ticket. As VP she's only one gunshot away from the presidency and after all she has said and done, she deserves no support from the black community or people of color in general. She tried to bring us back a hundred years at least... Lest she forget, black men were given the right to vote before women, but were not allowed to exercise it (and oftentimes still are not). Yet blacks are still underrepresented in positions of power across the US while mostly white women have been making gains for the past hundred years. I used to love the Clintons, campaigned my butt off for them. I was 18 when Clinton first ran and it was the first time I could vote- NEVER AGAIN!

Hillary Clinton needs to talk to her racist and sexist supporters before she can be forgiven. If you notice she did not attack McCain or defends Obama against McCains remarks against him.
Obama showed her some love and respect despite her mudslinging and racist campaing. She and her flock have become sore losers. I suggest that they pressure McCain to put her on his ticket or convince her to run as independent (with Bob Johnson as her VP). She's just destroying the Democratic party.

What a primary!!!!"
Although Hilary showed her fangs during the 2008 Primary Season and their has been some bad blood, I have enough forgivness in my heart to kiss and makeup.
We must follow Barack Obama's example and take the high road. Don't allow the media to divide us. The Obama campaign will need all the help possible to win this race against McCain.
It"s time for change and healing." Obama will not only need African Americans but, all American's!" (whites, Africans, Jamacians, Hispanics, Chineese, Indian, Jews, ect...)
It's time to move on and kick-in as Americans!!!!!
United We Stand Together."
Let's Bet MCCain this November!

This has been a very exciting campaign election. I'm a 50 year old African American who resides in New Jersey. In all my years, I have never seen all Americans (White, Black, Hispanic, Indian, chineese, Jewish ect..) Stand together laying aside skin color instead voting for issues dear and personal to them. God has annointed Obama with a precious gift of healing. This is the person American needs as our next president. A man with the speacial gift of healing cultural differences. Perhaps, ending this war and regaining international respect is at hand!" Obama has generated a number of record breaking crowds of white americans throughout the united states. "outstanding!!!!"
I would like to use this opportunity to thank all americans for helping obamba create history last Saturday. Sure, Hilary and Bill Clinton have short commings, "Heck so do I." We must continue to stay focused and not allow this article to distract our vision. We have the support of many other cultures, enough to win this election against John McCain. By showing resentment toward the Clinton's any matter, It makes us no better than a biggot. In addition, we could lose some of her supportors.
Let's Take the high road by forgiving The Clintons and win this election against John MCCain.
Respectfully,
Rozlyn Ratliff
P.S. Don't let the media divide us.
If Obama can forgive , so can we!"
