Now, do any of them look remotely like you?
If you're like many black people, the answer is probably, "No, they don't look like me, and they don't think like me." But is it really true that they don't think like you? Do you actually know what positions Republicans are taking on the issues that matter to you?
You might be surprised to find that you could share some of the same views as card-carrying members of the GOP. To find out if you're a closet Republican (or at least, not totally Democrat), take this Black Voices quiz.

When I was old enough to vote in my first election, my mother told me to vote democratic. When I asked why, her response was "Because they care of black people". My mother, like so many other blacks, continue to believe the white liberal lies. Ask yourself "Why haven't the lives of only a few black Americans improved in the last 40 years. One reason is while the Democrats have been promising blacks the moon, that same moon has been blocking the sun. As a result, we have been living in darkness. In the darkness, we will never see the damage that they have done to us. Sure the Democrats may take us by the hand and lead us through the darkness, they will never lead us out. Democrats like to parade around a few success stories, but the majority of blacks are suffering from their empty promises. Black communities are wrought with crime, poverty, and low education standards. It is this that made me realize, that the Democrat party was not for me.

If you think you that because you are black you are not welcome as a Republican, try going to a Republican event. Your opinion will completely change. You will be the complete center of attention and people will be clamoring to hear your opinions and thoughts. If you truly want a voice in your government, you go where people actually listen to you.
