I fight to restore the pride and principles of our party. We were elected to change Washington, and we let Washington change us. We lost the trust of the American people when some Republicans gave in to the temptations of corruption. We lost their trust when rather than reform government, both parties made it bigger. We lost their trust when instead of freeing ourselves from a dangerous dependence on foreign oil, both parties and Senator Obama passed another corporate welfare bill for oil companies. We lost their trust, when we valued our power over our principles.
We're going to change that. We're going to recover the people's trust by standing up again for the values Americans admire. The party of Lincoln, Roosevelt and Reagan is going to get back to basics.
We believe everyone has something to contribute and deserves the opportunity to reach their God-given potential from the boy whose descendents arrived on the Mayflower to the Latina daughter of migrant workers. We're all God's children and we're all Americans.
McCain's emphasis on the bipartisan nature of the change our country needs stood in stark contrast to his Vice-Presidential pick's divisive tirade the night before. And McCain's own Republican supporters "booed" at the point when McCain offered praise for "Barack Obama and his supporters." It is just hard to reconcile this John McCain, who gave a genuine and solid, President worthy speech, is the same man who would make such an erratic and overtly political decision to pluck a dogmatic, social ultra-conservative out of Alaska and place her, barely vetted, a breath away from the Presidency.
The constant partisan rancor that stops us from solving these problems isn't a cause, it's a symptom. It's what happens when people go to Washington to work for themselves and not you.
Again and again, I've worked with members of both parties to fix problems that need to be fixed. That's how I will govern as President. I will reach out my hand to anyone to help me get this country moving again. I have that record and the scars to prove it. Senator Obama does not.
Instead of rejecting good ideas because we didn't think of them first, let's use the best ideas from both sides. Instead of fighting over who gets the credit, let's try sharing it. This amazing country can do anything we put our minds to. I will ask Democrats and Independents to serve with me. And my administration will set a new standard for transparency and accountability.
We're going to finally start getting things done for the people who are counting on us, and I won't care who gets the credit.
Perhaps it's this kind of reasonable record and thinking about our way forward that has the Republican base more enthusiastic about Sarah Palin than John McCain.

John McCain is trying anything he can to get in the White House before he dies. He is so old and senile, he can hardly walk on to the stage to give a speech and it seems like he looses his breath when he tries to do long speeches, I feel sorry for his old senile A**!

McPalin is not going to promote change it's funny how Barack has been talking about change his entire campaign and now McPalin is talking about it. It's like you telling someone your idea, and they have it patented and make millions on it. I'm not buying it and the black people, and democrats aren't either. Some people on this website will believe anything they are the people that put George Bush in office twice, and the reason this economy is so bad, gas prices are so high, and people are losing their homes. Salute yourselves on a job well done.

I guess change would be good after backing the republicans for soooooo many years and helping bring America down. I don't believe it! I guess he liked the way it sound when Barack said it so he had to steal it.

It appears that Sarah Palin was for the "Bridge to Nowhere", however, she is now against the "Bridge to Nowhere". To me that is not important. What is important is that if this election is won by McCain-Palin, all of America will be on the "Bridge to Nowhere" for the next four years just as we have been for the past eight years. This "Bridge to Nowhere" will provide tax cuts for the rich and big corporations, no universal health care for working class Americans, no end to the Iraq war, an increase in the jobless rate, an increase in the national debt and no tax relief for middle and working class Americans. It is time to get off of this "Bridge to Nowhere". It is time to get on the "Bridge to Somewhere". You must vote for real change, we all know what kind of change McCain-Palin is talking about. No change at all! This election should be about issues not personalities. A vote for Obama is the only way we can get off of the " Bridge to Nowhere" and get onto the "Bridge to Somewhere".

IT SAD THAT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY CAN THROW OUT BULL$HIT AND THE NEWS MEDIA AIRS IT AS GOSPEL. McCAIN HAS THE NEWS MEDIA TALKING ABOUT LIPSTICK AND NOT ABOUT ISSUES THAT'S HURTING MOST AMERICANS. THE SAME OLD REPUBLICAN TRICKS, TALK ABOUT McCAIN BIO, TALK ABOUT PALIN AS A GUN LOVER, TALK ABOUT PALIN FAMILY, AND MAKING NEGATIVE COMMENT ABOUT OBAMA. WILL ANY OF THIS REP. CRAP CREATE JOB, GIVE YOU BETTER HEALTH CARE, AND IMPROVE THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM FOR YOUR CHILDREN? REMEMBER WHEN PEOPLE VOTED FOR BUSH BECAUSE HE WAS A GUY YOU COULD SIT DOWN HAVE A BEER WITH AND LOOK WHERE THEIR BEER BUDDY HAS TAKING AMERICA. REP. PARTY WANT YOU TO FORGET THE ISSUE AND VOTE FOR McCAIN AND PALIN BECAUSE YOU LIKE THEM. WHAT SAD PART ABOUT THIS IS THAT ONE OF McCAIN ADVISER STATED THAT THIS CAMPAIGN IS NOT ABOUT ISSUES, IT'S ABOUT PERSONALITIES. PEOPLE ELECT McCAIN AND PALIN AND THEN TAKE THEIR PERSONALITIES TO THE GAS STATION AND TO THE GROCERY STORE.BE SURE AND TELL THEM THAT REPUBLICANS SENT YOU.

Well americans it turns out that activism is even needed in the area of the polls.
Our news/poll sources are also partaking in the very same currupt practices that
distort our governing bodies.
The polls have been inaccurate from the very beginning of the democratic campaign.
Obama.Clinton and Mccain have been victimized by numbers that are too low or too high,
Below is the accurate number provided by POLL ACTIVES:
INDEPENDENT VOTERS
Mccain 47%
Obama 53%
REGISTERED VOTERS
Mccain 48%
Obama 52%
