The inimitable Oprah Winfrey kicked up quite a dust storm by deciding that she would only have Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin on for an interview after the election. Oprah's since been called a "racist", "biased" and "finished" by some of her white female viewers who have decided that Palin is the ideal guest.
Conservative blogger Matt Drudge instigated this tempest by printing an unsubstantiated rumor that a "battle" was raging behind the scenes of Oprah's show about whether to have Palin on or not. It certainly seems possible that a heated disagreement would exist, but Oprah denied it all. ...
The item in today's Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.
That seems like a reasonable decision to me. And this whole rumor sounds just like other recent Republican attacks on the media. Although Oprah has declared support for Barack Obama's presidential bid, he has not been a guest since announcing his candidacy. Also, am I the only one who remembers that Oprah had George W. Bush on and greeted him with a hug and a kiss?Still, Oprah's firm stance supporting Obama is in stark contrast to her "all things to all people" kind of easy-going and comforting persona she has spent much of her career cultivating. Some of her viewers are feeling jolted.
With almost 1,000 comments on her community message board dedicated to a possible Palin interview, Winfrey is already garnering strong reaction among her fans -- both those who are pleased with her decision and those who are not, such as Grossman-Green.So what do YOU think?
"I'm actually pretty angry with her right now because of this," she said. "I don't think I will be a gung-ho supporter right now.
"I'd think twice about switching her on or even buying her magazine."

When Oprah wants her to go is when she should appear, Oprah knows they only want her to go on her show because they know Oprah is going to ask her the hard questions, which she won't be able to answer, and then they're going to be able to say she was picking on poor Sarah Palin. Oprah is smart and knows exactly what she is doing.

The McCain/Palin supporters has been initiating all sorts of lies, and have made this one of the nastiest elections I have seen.
Oprah should stand her ground, like she said Palin is welcome on the show after the election.
Not to Mention, Palin hasn't given any other interviews, why would she want to go on Oprah? That doesn't seem like a good idea, I don't think she could handle the questions from Oprah.
Seems to me that the McCain/Palin supporters rather fight about nonsense, rather than face the issues.
Oprah you can afford the protest. Just say no.

Oprah is a woman of class, so therefore she does not entertain irrational, pistol packing pitbulls with lipstick, o-k-A-Y!
Have you noticed only stupid women are backing her? I mean did you see those women at the RNC? GOOD LORD! They are hidious!
Sarah Lee ain't nothing but a pin up doll. America please don't let the world laugh at us with this bimbo on top. (Pun intended LOL!)
The women movement has faught too long, too hard to be set back decades. Like seriously!

Palin should certainly not appear on Oprah until AFTER the election. Oprah has made her position clear. She supports Barack Obama. If she doesn't want Palin on her show, then Palin should not insert herself. This is not news where Oprah has to offer equal time. As a TV talk show host, I can appreciate how important it is to choose whom you do or don't want to interview, especially if your goal is to be gracious, which Oprah certainly is. You bring people on your show whom you want the public to engraciate. Those of us who are supporting Senator Obama are not trying to shine a favorable light on Senator Obama's opponents. For political highlights, I posted some clips of Alfre Woodard stumping for Barack Obama on my youtube site. Alfre spoke truth to power. In this case, the power was each registered voter. Check Alfre out and leave a comment. http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?p=r&user=ValleyGold&page=2

The Republican party did not have a VP until 2 weeks ago and Palin was not the choice, Joe L was McCains choice. The RNC
changed McCains mind, this is a fact. When
Obama was on Oprahs show, he was announcing
his candidacy at the time. The RNC and McCains advisor will not let the Palin speak to anyone. People should be smart
enough to know this! This is her show and she can do whatever she likes!

Most of the RNC women look like they have not set a foot at the workplace ever. So what the hell do they know about what's good for the country. They talk smack about liking her because of how she makes them feel. That ignorance got us George bush in the first place. People wanted to elect someone they can share a beer with. STUPID idea.
The stakes are too high now. Some of these people's voting rights should be revoked, really! We don't need these set backs at these hard times, when we are threatened with globalism, economic downturns and all these $#$! going on.

When should Sarah Palin go on Oprah's show?
HOW ABOUT NEVER!

Palin needs to show up at her own house and leave Oprah alone. Why is she sending her son to Iraq instead of to college? Why is she "forcing" daughter's marriage? One "mistake" should not be compounded by anothter.
