The inimitable Oprah Winfrey kicked up quite a dust storm by deciding that she would only have Republican Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin on for an interview after the election. Oprah's since been called a "racist", "biased" and "finished" by some of her white female viewers who have decided that Palin is the ideal guest.
Conservative blogger Matt Drudge instigated this tempest by printing an unsubstantiated rumor that a "battle" was raging behind the scenes of Oprah's show about whether to have Palin on or not. It certainly seems possible that a heated disagreement would exist, but Oprah denied it all. ...
The item in today's Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this Presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.
That seems like a reasonable decision to me. And this whole rumor sounds just like other recent Republican attacks on the media. Although Oprah has declared support for Barack Obama's presidential bid, he has not been a guest since announcing his candidacy. Also, am I the only one who remembers that Oprah had George W. Bush on and greeted him with a hug and a kiss?Still, Oprah's firm stance supporting Obama is in stark contrast to her "all things to all people" kind of easy-going and comforting persona she has spent much of her career cultivating. Some of her viewers are feeling jolted.
With almost 1,000 comments on her community message board dedicated to a possible Palin interview, Winfrey is already garnering strong reaction among her fans -- both those who are pleased with her decision and those who are not, such as Grossman-Green.So what do YOU think?
"I'm actually pretty angry with her right now because of this," she said. "I don't think I will be a gung-ho supporter right now.
"I'd think twice about switching her on or even buying her magazine."

Talking about her own house, did any one notice her 6yr old (or however old she is) Piper? That kid was so prematurely nurturing to her baby brother! Saw how she cuddled him & LICKED her hand then brushed his hair(that was hysterical)but very loving.
Makes you wonder if these kids are neglected, & forced to take care of each other. We all know sometimes teenagers get pregnant to get attention or love. It just makes you wonder, with Momma never home.

Oprah has the money and power to tell them all to kiss her a##. Why should Oprah have this woman Palin on her show? Why is everyone in MSM so head over heels in love with Palin? I just don't get it. She is NOT the white Hillary. Men seem to like her because she's pretty, can hold a rifle and eat moose stew, poor Bullwinkle. She's just another nasal liar. She's waiting for the Rapture and praying to God to give Alaska an oil pipeline. What the hell is this????

What NEW thing is she going to tell Oprah? They broke up her convention speech(that was written for her) into little pieces & packed it for her to go on her trip. That's the only thing she's been singing like a canary at every stop lately. Talk about a puppet? I wonder if she has a brain of her own? LORD HELP US!

I dont recall Palin asking to be on Oprah show. Why should she waste her time doing this. As for her being a Mom,think about how you would feel,if you are working, where do you leave your children?

Oprah should have her come on ONLY if she agrees to respond to whether or not she made the "Sambo" comment

McSame's camp only wants to use Oprah. There will be something every day to keep their names in the press. I hope the public is not as gullible as the media. We are tricked over and over again. This time let's get out and vote for the intelligent change we need. We are TRILLIONS in debt, while all of the fat cats will leave Washington as millionaires. Don't even consider having this woman on your show.
