Meanwhile, a few clicks away on MSNBC, Keith Olbermann was "lobbing softball" questions to Obama, as The Associated Press put it.
You know Al Jazeera, way over on the other side of the world, understands this election as well as any of us do. They compared the Obama-O'Reilly interview to Obama putting his head in the lion's mouth.
Obama's head? What about MY HEAD?!?! Am I really watching Bill O'Reilly two times in a row?!?!
O'Reilly came out with a fastball: the economy, and Obama's income tax plan that would lower tax rates for 95 percent of Americans while increasing tax rates for the richest citizens. ...
"You're a big 'tax the rich guy. You and Hilliary both," Bill-O said.
As the AP put it: "The Fox host complained that Obama wanted "50 percent of my success." They fought briefly over numbers, and Obama said to O'Reilly, "you can afford that." O'Reilly said Obama's plans would promote class warfare. He called him "Robin Hood Obama" and said his tax plan was a "socialist tenet."
Flip the numbers however you want, oh Sultan of Spin, Obama recited, perhaps, my favorite saying of all time in response to your lies.
"There are lies, damn lies and there are statistics."
And then there's Bill O'Reilly. Well, here's a statistic that never lies (wink). Ratings!
The O'Reilly Factor had its second biggest audience of all time with the Obama interview.
Meanwhile, back on Olbermann's interview , he's suggested Obama get ANGRY ... more.
Yes, Olbermann, instead of asking questions, tells a black man who whats to lead the country to be an "angry black man." Uhh. Great strategy Keith!
We'll, let's just wait and see. O'Reilly Part 3 on the topic of Rev. Wright airs Tuesday night. Obama might get angry.
I might get angry.

Here we go again. Obama did not mention Fannie and Freddie, (economic growth), high food prices, loss of jobs, instead he gives an intellectual answer instead of a visceral answer.
"I know it's Bull." Bill fails to tell us that if the growth did occur it was by deficit spending and how much it cost the American Public.

It's Obama time no matter how McCain and Palin try to discredit him before the public. Time has chose Obama. There has to be balance and it is time to balance the check book and O'Reilly is crying because he don't want to let go of the excess. Obama know what it is to need help and so do O'Reilly but Obama is taking a bigger step than O'Reilly. O'Reilly want to haelp a few needy organization. And Obama see 95% os this nation as a need that most be met.

I know I'm gonna get angry, I might even skip this one. Every time I see them together, deep down I just want Obama to stand up and knock his ass out. There's ratings for ya'.

Again, Obama wins the interview. And....Obama CAN think on his feet quite well.
When Obama makes a gaffe in his interviews, it is often an error of trying to get a complex and nuanced thought out.

Obama will be the next president, and he will be a great one. I however wish he'd make a compromise on abortion. He could win over a lot of people by taking a lead in reducing abortions by reducing pregnancies.

Hey Marco: Your right, knowing how many states there are can sometimes be complex and nuanced. LOL.
BTW, there are 50.

Obama looked like a deer in the headlights. I can't wait to hear him explain wright and ayers. He won't be able to dance around Bill with that one. It's about time someone asked him some real questions.

Well at least he will give tax breaks to 95% of Americans. They will need it with his plan. See folks, the 5% that he will get it from are your employers. I am already making arrangements to move my business after doing the math. There's 400 less jobs and I'm sure that is just the tip of the iceberg. My employees already get health care, but I should pay $15,000 per employee in the form of (payroll tax, excise tax, increased personal tax, etc.) because as Obama says, I can afford it? Pay attention folks, the math is quite easy. Tax the rich, feed the poor, until there are no rich no more. How many middle class to poor people do you know that are one handout from starting thier own business?

I had every intention of voting for Obama but upon thinking it over that as a black woman I am glad that he got this far, but he is very inexperienced and it scares me to think that the nation could be in his hands. I am not gonna vote for him. If he had taken Hillary as his running mate there would have been the voice of experience there, but if frightens me to think that in his inexperience he could be responsible for the next world war. As the polls show I think not taking Hillary as a running mate hurt him and as a democrate I am voting republican this election.
