Chideya's guests included yours truly along with Kevin Ross, a former Superior Court judge, entrepreneur and active Republican supporting Barack Obama and professor, speaker and Fox News commentator Marc Lamont Hill.
We had a very lively discussion that you might enjoy.
We also touched upon what affirmative action in college admissions should look like and briefly talked about restoring the right to vote to felons.

Affirmative action for Colleges? Why do you need it? You need lower standards to get into a school? I don't think so. Give Felons voting rights? How ridiculous.

Can pigs fly? Exactly!
I want to close my eyes and hope that this bimbo would just disappear. She finally went off script yesterday, & confirmed what we have all dreaded. She is an AIRHEAD, with an inflatable pump attached!
What scares that hell out of me is people are not connecting the dots and realizing that when you put a stupid people in charge (George Bush, McCain, & the cheery on top Palin) SH!T is guaranteed to happen.
Lehman Brother & Merrill lynch are insolvent. Back in the day we used to tell our clients if you are worried about the US economy, these institutions & hence your investments, then at that point all you should care about is getting your seeds & guns.
Well people that day is here. Thanks for electing STUPID people who have no clue about the economy & the ramifications of irresponsible fiscal policy!
Take it from me (and I am qualified to make that assessment) you haven’t seen anything yet. Financial institutions are in line to discombobulate. In street lingo “ sh!t's about to BLOW UP! Do not buy the crap your financial institution is telling you either, like “we are strong” The truth is, all these firms are “ok” until they are not. Usually that takes a day!
You don’t believe me? Go a head stay stupid vote McCain. “You ain’t seen nothing yet1” He still wants to spend money in Iraq we don’t have. Ummmmh!

You wouldn't mix oil & water, why would you use republican and diversity in the same sentence? Didn't you watch the RNC?
Republicans think diversity is one of those terrible words like community organizing. Why are we even having this conversation?

Republicans think diversity is one of those BIG terrible words like Community Organizing, Ethnicity, "Nukelar" etc. Most of them (Bush & Palin especially) can't even pronounce these words. LOL!

As much as I admire Sen. Obama, the fact remains that his election will not change one blessed thing for the average black family.
Unless we STAY IN SCHOOL and encourage our children to become educated, we will continue to be shackled by the chains of ignorance and poverty.
Unless we GET A JOB (and actually keep it), we will continue to be crushed under the thumb of the white man's charity.
Until we STOP MAKING BABIES WE CAN'T AFFORD TO SUPPORT, we will continue to doom our children to lives of neglect and imprisonment.
Until we TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR OWN BEHAVIORS, we will continue to earn the contempt of every civilized culture on the planet.
Unless we STOP MAKING EXCUSES, we will forever remain our own worst enemy.

Tired of poor me attitude: that is exactly what you have. Are you rich, republican, white, racist, ignorant, stupid, asshole, that is exactly what you are. Felons have a right to life just as your stupid ass do. There are various reasons for felons, some people did things when they were younger and has since changed but they are still paying for it by not being accepted because of this. They must make a living for themselves and their families as well. Should they pay for stupid mistakes for the rest of their lives? You have crap in your closet I'm sure as do most people, stop being so perfect because you don't have a felony, maybe one day something will happen and you will get one, then you can see how it feels. It's because of people like you that affirmative action is needed, to give people a chance at life. STOP BEING SO IGNORANT.

Diversity is just another name for dumbing every thing down. Yeah, life can be embarassing. There are people who work harder than you. There are people who are smarter than you. There are people who make more money than you. So what's the answer? We'll show them. We'll take their money with taxes, after all they're no better than us. We'll call them rich and start a class war. And most importantly, we'll sit on our ass, do nothing to improve ourselves and complain. No thank you, you can have that world.
