In this video, Darlene Stewart of Detroit brings you the Obama Hustle, created by Crystal Smith and performed by Seniors United of the Grenadier Lounge. This hustle was created by and for seniors, but it's definitely hot -- as Stewart claims it is -- and a great dance for people of all ages. When Obama wins, will you be doing this hustle?
But as my co-worker and partner in crime, Brennan Williams, reminds me, dancing is not enough. Regardless of whether you do this dance, it won't mean a thang if you don't vote! So be sure to register, and encourage all your hustle companions to join you at the voting booth.

nice dance and I know a lot of people will be doing it, but like someone else as already said I will dance either way because I am so proud of the Obama's. IMHO he has already done so much for AA by just getting where he is now. We can all stand up and take note.
Btw, I dance will be a lot more crazy cause I will lose my mind in the celabration when he wins.

oh yeah! I'll be doing the Obama Dance for sure! I loved it just like I love Obama and I would be dancing anyway if "I pray" he wins; therefore the dance it right on time! I'm going to get those moves down before November. As for the person saying "blacks against obama", you need to just stop. Look beyond hate, learn to appreciate our heritage & all black people who are making strides to help other people! I didn't see you say anything positive in your post. You are a person who continuously perpetuate black self hate and promote racism against your own culture!

yvonne, you are correct, there are alot of White People who do not vote for their Race.
You know yvonne, if they did Senator Obama would NOT be a cantidate.
Soooo, the African community is about 14/15% of the total population of the USA. Your way of thinking says' that he should NOT be the President.

@ Analyst...Please allow me to reply to some of your comments made regarding Sen. Brack Obama post 99
1)“He stabbed friends in the back”? Who exactly are you referring to? Rev. Wright? Did you watch or listen to the responses to the questions asked of him at the National Press Club conference? Although much of what he said I agreed with, his mannerism was less than stellar and not befitting a man of his intelligence and stature. In fact, it was he who through Sen. Obama under the preverbal bus. The fact is, Mr. Obama defended Rev. Wright in his historic speech about race when ALL of main stream media and most Americans (i.e. constituency of the office in which he seeks) discredited the reverend as a racist “bombastic” nut job.
2)What evidence do you have that he was “outcast” from the white race? The fact is, when you are raised by a white mother and you have the look and blood of an African American, you are considered black. I have to imagine young Barack Obama was not spared the verbal abuse that many so called black folks endured growing up in a mixed environment.
3)As a Chicagoan and former resident of the neighborhood in which Mr. Obama served, please allow me to clarify this point for you. WE (yes, I can say we) viewed Obama as we view many community organizers as great servants of the people. It is these servants that help many residents understand the implication of local policy and provide insight to our recourse.
4)Race is not a pre-requisite to start a political career in Chicago. Motivation (i.e. the willingness to make a difference in the lives of the people you serve), ambition, and endurance will suffice.
5)He never brought anything significant to the table of Black Americans? Really? How about legislation regarding:
a.Videotaped Interrogations (as a “black man you should understand the importance of this)
b.Raising the minimum wage in Illinois from $5.15 an hour to $6.50 an hour over two years. (2003)
c.Reducing restrictions on public funding of abortion.
d.Increasing tax credits for low-income workers
e.Negotiating welfare reform
f.Increasing subsidies for childcare
g.Supporting payday loan regulations and predatory mortgage lending regulations
6)Democratic Convention acceptance speech. Callous disregard? Really? Should he have mention every great Black American that has contributed to the forward progression that Blacks have made in this country? Not so sure about that buddy. EVERYONE knew exactly who he was referring to. Why isn’t that sufficient?
7)I believe his exact words were “acting like boys instead of men” and he was clearly speaking about boys that make children and are not responsible enough to take care of them and leave the burden to the mother. Was he wrong? What man abandons his children? No strong black men that I know. Boys run, duck and doge responsibly. Not men. As the saying goes…if you took offense to that statement, he was probably talking to YOU!
8)I agree that a majority of Americans are not racist, but you are naive to believe that none are. In fact, a sizable number are. I didn’t limit my characterization as white American; just Americans.
9)For the love of God, please help me understand how Obama is in any regards an “elitist”? You sound like a republican talking point. This is a tactic that Republicans use on all democratic candidates and you have the nerve to repeat it regarding Obama?!?! Really? What is so elitist about being intelligent? What is so elitist about going to and succeeding at a prestigious university? I pray my children are never called “acting white” because they do well in school. This is just a ridiculous notion!
Sorry for the long reply but your comments had to be addressed.

As a middle class, former-Rep, white woman I am hoping and praying, daily, that all African American people will show up and vote for Senator Obama on Nov 4th.
I am ashamed to admit I voted for W, both times. I dont know what I was thinking back then. I really dont. But, Barack Obama has opened my eyes and my soul to what a true leader should be. Mccain is an angry, petulant, bitter old man. I can picture him in his bathrobe, with his slippers on, screaming at the kids to get off the lawn. He would NOT make a good President.
And MSNBC is very pro-Obama. The home of KO, Mr Hardball Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow? Please...80% of the commentators have publically stated they will vote for Sen Obama.
One observation about the debate this evening. I wanted Sen Obama to really sock it to McCain...for distorting his record, for questioning his patriotism, as well as dozens of other offenses.
but, Sen Obama did the smart thing and played it cool.
This man is really something special. I do believe that Sen Obama will steer this country in the right direction. I would be proud to have him as my President. I have never worked for a campaign before, but I am working for Barack Obama.
Can I please ask 2 questions to the members of this forum?
1- When McCain, in the 2nd debate...referred to Sen Obama as "that one"....Did you feel he disrespected Barack? Do you think he would have said the same of a white candidate? even a white female candidate?
and 2- As an African American, are you busting with pride that Barack Obama may very well become the next President of the United states?
I know, I am. And I'm white. But I'm still proud. I'm proud that a man with so many special qualities has come so far and been able to almost become the President. I know it has taken this country far too long to reach this point. And there is still a long, long way to go...but will the electing of a black man for President help the score at all? Even the score? or make no difference at all?
God bless you all. This is a fascinating website and I enjoy it very much.
Please...everyone...get out and vote on Nov 4th for
Senator Barack Obama.
