Gwen Ifill will bring a twist to the must-see vice presidential debate on Thursday.
The PBS vet broke her ankle on Monday after taking a nasty spill while walking down stairs. She was prepping for the VP face-off between Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and Delaware Senator Joe Biden. ...
To top it off, Monday was her birthday!
"Another crazy twist in a crazy week," Ifill told the AP, confirming her injury in an e-mail. Ifill is moderator of PBS' 'Washington Week' and senior correspondent on 'The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer,' hosted by last week's debate moderator Jim Lehrer.
Have you ever watched Ifill in action? My guess is she'll do a better job than Lehrer did, in pain, and on crutches, she'll STILL kick some butt. Only need one leg to accomplish that.
Was I the only one screaming during the first debate for the moderator (that's you Jim) to MODERATE?!?!?!
Now get this, Ifill faces bias charges from the GOP over her yet-to-be published book. Common guys, Palin hasn't even LOST the debate yet. You can't claim someone's cheating!
BlackVoices.com will have full coverage and analysis of the Vice Presidential debate Thursday night. Check back here, take polls and join the discussion. Visit Obama Watch here.

You all sound like these candidates will be hit with surprise questions. If that happens, then it was all Ifill. The ususal script is pre arranged questions...

Everybody don't expect a fair debate! Obama, Gwen and the dems have stacked the deck against Palin.
Gwen Ifill says she is not close to Obama! It don't quiet look like that here. Those who pray together, will play together!

How low can the GOP go? They are so desperate and afraid its funny to watch supposedly intelligent republicans lower themselves to lying to any fool who believes that they believe that Palin is presidential material. What a JOKE. The only ones republicans are fooling is themselves if they think AMERICANS are going to be "Moose Winked" into voting for MCPalin. Sure some will be "Moose Winked" but the majority of Americans realize our countrys economic, foreign, educational policies are far more important than turning this presidential race into a popularity contest...So go on and sit down somewhere and prepare to cringe over Palins debate performance tonight, Oh thats right the bars have been lowered so far down she cant lose tonight...Now that IS sexism...

Biden's ten mistakes that the liberal media will never tell, from Karl Rove. Of course, liberals have no concept of truth and so will claim that false is true. Liberals are emotionally driven idiots, as always.
1) McCain voted the same as Obama on the budget resolution that calls for tax increases on people making as little as $42,000. FALSE
2) Under Obama, the top tax rate will not be higher than it was under Reagan (28%). FALSE (they want to return it to the Clinton 39.5%)
3) It will take at least ten years to get oil from new production. FALSE
4) The Use of Force resolution (Iraq) was not a war resolution. FALSE
5) McCain voted the same way as Obama on funding the troops. FALSE
6) We spend as much in three weeks in Iraq as we have spent in seven years in Afghanistan. FALSE
7) Article I of the Constitution refers to the Executive Branch. FALSE
8) There is a windfall profits tax in Alaska. FALSE
9) Obama voted for a nuclear weapons resolution. FALSE
10) McCain opposed Clinton on Bosnia. FALSE

Gwen did an excellent job as she does in everything on PBS. I heard aobut FAUX NEWS commentators attacking her. Many of them are closet racists and she has more credibility in one leg than the whole Fuax News network.

Gwen did do a good job, but you are dealing with different candidates in comparison to Jim Lehrer's moderation. When dealing with two men trying to become the most powerful man in the country and then their second-in-command, well....one group is going to be harder than the other. Don't bash Lehrer because he is an old white man and Gwen is a middle aged black woman.
