McCain's tone quickly shifted from that of an honorable statesman to a grouchy, and sometimes, condescending speaker when talking about his rival Obama. Instead of addressing his fellow congressman by name, McCain stooped to calling him "that one," a remark that immediately generated buzz on the Internet according to television correspondents. As if that wasn't insulting enough, he also fell back on the phrase "he doesn't understand."
The major distinction between this interaction and last one was that Obama didn't take the swipes lying down, interrupting moderator Tom Brokaw so he could fire back and say he that did understand the issue. Later on, Obama even got in some jabs of his own. He mocked McCain, saying the "Straight Talk Express lost a wheel on that one," referring not only to the bus that McCain travels, but to his inaccurate portray of Obama and his leadership qualities, It was an attempt to assert that he has a name that should be respected and it is Barack Obama.

McCain: My policies stink, my behavior has been erratic, and my poll numbers have been steadily dropping, so, as an act of desperation, I'm just going to do as much as I can to distract the people from those sad fact, with fear and smear tactics, and hope that they are stupid enough to be fooled.
Obama: I'm pretty confident that I have this whole thing locked up, with a month to go until V-day. So, I'm just going to be cool like Fonzie, and not play McCain's ignoble game, and instead just speak to the people like they were over at my house for dinner.
Tom Brokaw: As moderator, I will be the consummate professional and not exhibit any bias whatsoever, so you can ignore the fact that I previously served as a liaison between NBC and the McCain campaign to diffuse conservative animosity against the network. And I encouraged NBC News to modify the anchor duties of the MSNBC hosts Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews on election night and on nights when there were presidential debates, because they both showed unabashed anti-McCain sentiments.
The American Left: McCain is an a-hole and I pity the fools who vote him into office.
The American Right: Obama is a terrorist and should be "eliminated."
The American Middle: This is all complete theatrical B.S.
Foreign Countries: Hahahahahaha... those Americans and their ridiculous electoral process... hahahaha... they make us laugh... hahahaha... what a joke that country has become... hahahaha...
God: This is certainly not what I expected would happen when I created these pathetic earthlings. Maybe I'll send some hail storms down there and cause havoc so that they can open their eyes and WAKE UP!

MCCAIN AND SARAH PALIN NEED TO STOP TRYING TO SMEAR SEN. OBAMA AND GET ON WITH THE PEOPLE'S HURTS, HARMS, FEARS, AND DISASTERS. I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT WHO IS FRIENDS WITH WHOM OR HOW MCCAIN HAS BEEN SO TWO FACED IN HIS POLITICAL CAREER. ALL I WANT TO HEAR IS HOW ARE YOU GOING TO HELP THE PEOPLE GET HOMES, GET OUR TROOPS HOME WITH HOMES AND HEALTH CARE FOR OUR TROOPS AND THE PEOPLE. HOW YOU ARE GOING TO CREATE DECENT PAYING JOBS AFFORDABLE FOR THE PEOPLE TO BE ABLE TO LIVE. OWN OUR OWN HOMES, SEND OUR CHILDREN TO EXCELLENT SCHOOLS, RETIRE RESPECTFULLY, AND SAVE FOR OUR CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN. THESE ARE THE ISSUES I CARE ABOUT HEARING NOT WHAT IS IN THE PASTS OF THOSE RUNNING FOR ELECTION!! AND THE ONLY REASON WHY SEN. OBAMA IS RETALIATING IS SIMPLY BECAUSE HE HAS AND IS RETALIATING TO KEEP HIS NAME CLEAR!! SO MCCAIN STOP TRYING TO SMEAR THIS MAN AND GET ON WITH THE BUSINESS OF THE DAY.

Watching John McCain is like watching Santa Claus (literally, especially with that grey hair of his) handing you gifts & telling you tales about his friends: the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny etc. This is so ridiculous & condescending, it’s actually offensive. This dunce rhetoric might work with his usual ignorant republican crowd but certainly not the “gen pop.” Why is he so generic & non-specific?
Now I know why he picked Sarah Pailin! They should both pack their bags & head home, this race is over.

Excuse me! McCain needs to get his hearing checked. He kept saying Obama said the U.S.A. would attack Pakistan. He seems to think the rest of us can't hear. He has a SERIOUS problem. Listening to him makes my stomach turn. YUCK!!!

McCain just refused to shake Obama's hand at the end of the debate. He pat Obama on the back, however when Obama extended his hand McCain ignored Obama's extended hand and had his wife shake hands with Obama, instead. MaCain is one RUDE person. I wouldn't want him representing our country as president. He has no class.
Obama won the debate!!! YES!!!
