Police are searching for the man who shot a Barack Obama supporter three times in broad daylight for wearing an Obama T-shirt.
Any guess where this senseless shooting happened? It wasn't in the Jim Crow south, a trailer park or even Jena, Louisiana. It was in London. This VOTE OR DIE business is real, folks.
According to the Daily Mail, Dube Egwuatu was buying a cell phone card when a British white skinhead with a gun confronted him for wearing a 'Believe' Obama shirt.
The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting "I f***ing hate n*****s" and urging 36-year-old Mr. Egwuatu to leave the shop with him, according to the paper. ...
The suspect, who has not been captured, shot a gas-powered bb pistol three times, hitting the victim in the face, hand and shoulder.
Egwuatu survived and raced away in his car, looking for help. A piece of metal from the bullet had to be removed from his jaw.
Egwuatu told the Daily Mail: "The venom in his voice was frightening. He was telling me that he was going to kill me."
So if you asked me which country is MORE racist overall, the U.S. or the U.K.? I'd say the U.K., not unlike the rest of xenophobic Europe. Lots of folks might disagree with this, given our country's long, sad history of institutionalized racism, and the covert racism that exists today.
I've only visited London once, for a few days back in 2001, but in that short time it was clear to me that broad-daylight racism was not nearly as taboo across the pond as it is here in the states. I observed some of the most venomous and racist graffiti while there. I also witnessed white supremacists and skinheads wearing their stripes in the open.
Sure, racism is STILL alive and well in the U.S. I guess what I'm saying is, I'm not very surprised to hear this happened in London and not L.A. or New York.

Racism is alive and well. And now with Obama running for president, racism has been placed in the forefront of our lives. I think all African-Americans need to be aware of their surroundings. With recent racial attacks, African-Americans, regardless of status in this country are not safe. My family wants to see history, with the first African-American president, but not at the cost of his life. The Obama family, God Bless you and be SAFE.

THEY HAVE TO BAKE ON THE BEACH AND TURN OVER SO THE SUN CAN HIT THE OTHER SIDE LIKE CHICKEN FRYING IN A SKILLET. ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS LOOK GOOD IN OUR COLORS. THEY HATE THAT. It should matter what color the indiviudual running for the President of United States is.(although I am democratic) What we all should look for in our next President of the United States is someone who is educated, self driven, who has been through a struggle and has work their way out of it, and just plain common sense! Our next President Mr.Obama and his family should not have to fear for there lives- under stupidy, and because others cannot stomach a "BLACK" man who is well deserving of this position. If Obama was a "white man" I would still vote for him because of his character!
But once you get into office-do what you said you going to do.....but my GOD! Mr. Obama you have alot of clean-up work ahead of you! Prayers are with Barack and his family that GOD covers him and his family!

to the hater from Jena, LA, that very well would have happened in Jena, had there not been so much media attention focused on you during that day of Marches, and i am sure that many of you, including yourself have applauded this kind of appalling thing and maybe even done the same thing in the past.
As for the Jena 6, u had a bunch of you racists to try the old whites only crap, and those black folk were no longer buying it. when a black student sat under ur precious whites only tree. Sat there, the next day ur hangin nooses in the tree, which is just as bad as what that brit skin head did if not worse. Black folk weren't buyin that either so ypour lil punk/thug wanna b skin head white student leader came to school with a weapon and with a bunch of his cohorts tried to beat the young men down, got his and his cronies clock cleaned and his weapon taken, so Black were not buyin THAT either. You Started some BS n got the worst of it, and those young men had no more past record of juvenile crap than do most of your lil redneck white children, you just don't want THAT to get out so you ands your racist police and prosecutor can make like these young men are so unsavory that they should be found guilty of attempted murder, which is BS, they defended themselves against an attempt at returning to the racistsegregated past of your state in direct opposition to civil rights laws that have been on the books, like as not, since before your sorry self were born, in short, you talk like a wooden head man with sawdust brains, and you have a snowballs chance in hell of convincing anyone outside racist like YOU that you folk are so civil and without institutionalized racism running rampant in ur city and most of the rest of LA, By the By, my Grandfather is from Lake Charles, LA and i have spent much time in LA as a whole, so it ain't like i am guessing about this, i KNOW from experience.

Obama doesn't want women to kill their babies, he wants women to have a choice as to what goes into as well as comes out of their body. I do not agree with abortion and as a christian i seriously doubt that Obama does either, however, like Obama i believe such decisions should b wholely upon the woman in question, between her and her GOD, not legislated religious preference. This nation was founded in a manner of speaking to escape religious persacution, now here there is a clamor by the religious to persacute and malign folk who don't believe as they do. I say folk like you have no business of their own to mind and what they do have they screw up then walk round struting as if you should be allowed to run other folks business. Besides all that, its far too late for you to be still spouting that negative racist politics of division and hate with all your vast spiel of lies and detractions to Barack Obama a BLACK man being President, For the next 4 years from Jan 20 at least he is OUR, as in ALL American's president. For once in its history the nation as a majority voted it creed as expoused in the constitution; ''we hold these truths to be SELF EVIDENT(obvious, that ALL men are CREATED EQUAL and endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, that among these are life, libety and the pursuit of Happiness. Now the founding fathers may well have just meant white folk, white men, but unfortunately for you and folk like you, that is not what they wrote.....
