Police are searching for the man who shot a Barack Obama supporter three times in broad daylight for wearing an Obama T-shirt.
Any guess where this senseless shooting happened? It wasn't in the Jim Crow south, a trailer park or even Jena, Louisiana. It was in London. This VOTE OR DIE business is real, folks.
According to the Daily Mail, Dube Egwuatu was buying a cell phone card when a British white skinhead with a gun confronted him for wearing a 'Believe' Obama shirt.
The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting "I f***ing hate n*****s" and urging 36-year-old Mr. Egwuatu to leave the shop with him, according to the paper. ...
The suspect, who has not been captured, shot a gas-powered bb pistol three times, hitting the victim in the face, hand and shoulder.
Egwuatu survived and raced away in his car, looking for help. A piece of metal from the bullet had to be removed from his jaw.
Egwuatu told the Daily Mail: "The venom in his voice was frightening. He was telling me that he was going to kill me."
So if you asked me which country is MORE racist overall, the U.S. or the U.K.? I'd say the U.K., not unlike the rest of xenophobic Europe. Lots of folks might disagree with this, given our country's long, sad history of institutionalized racism, and the covert racism that exists today.
I've only visited London once, for a few days back in 2001, but in that short time it was clear to me that broad-daylight racism was not nearly as taboo across the pond as it is here in the states. I observed some of the most venomous and racist graffiti while there. I also witnessed white supremacists and skinheads wearing their stripes in the open.
Sure, racism is STILL alive and well in the U.S. I guess what I'm saying is, I'm not very surprised to hear this happened in London and not L.A. or New York.

Post #2, you can't even spell the word, religious, 99% won't do. Post #5, you gave people something to think about, just listen to Foxnews and draw your own conclusion about certain journalists. Post #14, p l e a s e! just keep living. Be very careful out there everyone; some people will never be ready for this kind of change. Just remember that God is in charge and in His own time, there will be a change for all of us. And even then, some of us won't understand.

Unbelievable! Who could've done such a thing? This person really need to be caught before he really kills someone. Even though racism is right here in out towns and country. There is no doubt it could happen right here in the U.S. However god is on our side, and let's keep the faith.

You know it's a real shame that people in 2008 can still have this type of conversation. God Bless America, and forgive all those that still hate and think themselves better, for they know not what they are doing nor saying... Instead of coming together as Americans and realizing that we have more in common than not. Jena 6 was wrong and bad, but hanging folks is too. If the adults had made the correct steps when the noose was hung and said this is wrong. That would have put out the fire.

People of the Planet Earth. All this hatred for each other, killing for religious beliefs, and greed will soon end your very existence. So sad to see so much technology...yet, so little knowledge in using it to improve humanity around the world. Please, look at yourselves, look at what you are leaving behind for your future children. You all as mankind are suppose to make Planet Earth a better world for yourselves. Looks like you are heading in the wrong direction.

I can not believe some of the comments on this page. I believe that Barack Obama can make a difference. It is just a matter of being able to when a majority of Congress is old, white elitist. I'm not racist. My husband is white, but we have completely different views when it comes to politics. Anyway, some people can't see a good thing when it is staring them in the face. In particular, the first comment suggested that Obama "talks down" to black people. No, he talks to everyone like they are intelligent human beings. Only stupid people, who pinpoints the absence of slang, feel that someone is trying to be "stuck up." If ignorant people took the time to do their homework, they would see that this country needs BARACK OBAMA.
Macain is contantly talking about his history in Washington. Barack has a history of helping people over advancing in his career. Furthermore, he is not constantly quoting this fact. He comments only when he is asked. Focusing mostly on what he plans to do as president.

I REALLY DON'S KNOW WHY SOME PEOPLE OF COLOR THINK THEY WERE PUT HERE TO JUDGE OTHERS BY THE COLOR OF THERE SKIN,JUST TAKE IT UP WITH GOD BECAUSE HE MADE ALL OF US AND WE ARE HIS WHO BELIVE HIS WORD AND LIVE BY IT.JUST THINK IF HE SAVED US BY COLOR ALOT OF US WOULD NOT MAKE IT THUR.GOD IS LOVE,LET'S LOVE EVERYBODY,THINK OF HELL WHO WANTS TO GO THERE AND BURN FOREVER?

I spent 3 years in england, and was there with my wife, and daughter 2 years ago. Am I surprised, No, but I can can say I felt more freedom there. God, Satan, and all the mythology can not replace good judgment which is non existant in most of our lives.
Hate is an equal opportunity destroyer, so we must stop lying to ourselves. Do I expect that to happen, No! I am mixed with seeds of many bloodlines, seen as African American, well educated, and unqualified!
