I am so pleased that Barack Obama is in the very positive position, leading in the polls. Constantly am I amazed by the comments of those who ask the question "What has Obama done for African American people?" It seems rediculous to put forward for consideration that even if Barack cannot enforce the policies he wants to put in place; even if he is unable to pass a tax reform that gives middle class citizens a break, the very notion that he would have at least tried. He recognizes a need to change.
How odd is it,however, that most people to whom the tax break would apply are working, yet so frequently have I read or heard on talk radio about people receiving tax breaks who refuse to work. What a fallacy!
Then another oddity is the notion that one even has to ask what the Democratic party , or Barack Obama, has done to improve the quality of life. A response to that is to turn the question back. What has the Republican party done? Eight years later, how have you been helped?

Colin Powell just validates the notion of the "Black Wall". Black for Black, regardless of issues. Incredible.

I don't understand why C. Powell has turned on the republicans as he has, if it wasn't for the republican presidents he'd be just another retired sgt major all his so called fame he owes to Ronald Reagan, George H>W> busg and the present Bush. I guess thats the way some people show their appreceation. huh

The only change black folks will get from Obama will be the change left in his pocket at the end of the day.
