Obama visiting his grandmother towards the end of his heated campaign has inspired both love and suspicion of him from differing sides of the political divide. Some have wondered what McCain would do in this situation, if his mother was sick, given the fact that he, unlike Obama, is actually behind.
Do you think this action by Obama says something about his character? If so, what?

I think if John Wayne McCain had someone sick in his family he would not have left to visit them, and he need to stop talking lies about Mr Obama and take about what going on in the world with people still losing jobs like yahoo laying off people, circut city closing store, national city banks laying off people and they are spending all that money on Palin cloths and makeup. Obama President of the United States of America.

Obama visited his grandmother because that is the humane thing to do. This is the woman that greatly influenced him and aided in his development. Why wouldn't he visit his grandmother if she was ill? He does not know how much longer he has with this woman who he obviously loves dearly. This is one thing that should not be up for political debate.

Obama is a class act & he loves his grandmother very much. I admire him for loving his family & putting his grandmother first! God will take care of the rest. He will win this election! Obama/Biden 08!

Any man or whoam who lacks compassion and human decency and put personal ambition before his/her parents or garndparents is not worthy of being a member of the human race.
Senator Obama has shown the human side of him by visiting his grandmother even though it's a crucial moment of his Presidential aspirations. This might be the last time he will have the opportunity to get close to her and say: "Granny, I love you for caring for me while I was growing up. Look, what I've become -- just because of your love for me. I will always love you and remember your kindness."

I feel that Obama leaving the campaign says an awful lot for his character, and his family values. His Grandmother played a very important role in him being the man that he is today. He will never be able to replace someone so precious to him as his loving Grandmother. I pray that the Lord would bless her to live to see him become the next President of the United States.

I think this is more about politics.
Why don't they ask him how many times has he visited his Grandmother this year..................

How could anyone question his motives? Good grief has the american public become that cynical?

McCain would not go back to see his grandmother i'm sure. He probably would go and sit with his dog first. He has no compassion at all so it's not a question for Obama to be where he is right now and that's to show love for his ill grandmother. Let's just keep Barack and his family in continual prayer. Barack is doing the right thing and the american people appreciates his great spirit.
