I am on my way to work the polls and would like to share a few thoughts with the family. I would like to say that in conflict with some thoughts that we should not expect anything from Obama because he is Black and we are black, let me say this. No one else is voting for Obama without some level of expectation. Why should we be different? Everyone who votes for anyone expects them to make a difference in their lives. I live in a multicultural neighborhood and everyone that I spoke to who is voting for Barack Obama is doing so with a level of expectation. I repeat, Why should we be different? The recent events surrounding this event shows that he certainly will have serious obstacles, however, I firmly believe that he has the will and the wisdom to make all of our lives a little better. We must assume our responsibility and work with him. This is what democracy is all about. Get out and vote!
Peace Out

This race is finally over and now it's time for America to celebrate. We did not teach our children to hate in the wake of all the sadness and pain. We did not teach hate after the loss of Dr. King. We did not teach hate after the collective loss called 9-11. One voice gave Democrats the perfect message of optimism and hope. One voice gave Democrats the courage to try. One voice helped Democrats make the Dream a reality after years of failure. Will they tell you who that voice is?

I think the Presidential race will be, Obama by 4 percent or more. I am confident that Obama will be the next President of the U.S.! A lot of people are TIRED and WANT and NEED CHANGE! Obama has crossed over and touched many Americans with his ideas, his inspiration, wanting to UNITE this nation, acknowledging and stopping RACISM, his passion and love to change and rebuild this Country! I will be on way out the door. Obama says, we all need to do our part as well! I don't have to go far but, across the street to vote. There are never lines and maybe one or two people at the most voting at a time. We are having party there and are trying to get our District to get the people PUMPED to get out to VOTE and CELEBRATE! I am bringing my 2 children to experience this HISTORICAL DAY!
It is a "BEAUTIFUL DAY IN PITTSBURGH"! I am thankful and grateful to be here another day on this Earth and able to vote and to see this HISTORICAL DAY!
Everybody get out and "VOTE", "VOTE", "VOTE"!
PEACE TO EVERYBODY and have a GOOD DAY!

Today is a beautiful day, I believe history is about to be made for America to have its first Black President that will be a President for 'ALL' people just like his campaign ads, rallies and convention has been about... a sea of people of 'COLOR'... of 'ALL' ethnic backgrounds, something that was greatly lacking from McCain's campaign ads, rallies and at his convention, this is something the Republican party is going to have to come to turns with and work on, you can't just say the word 'AMERICA' and paint us with a broad paint brush and think that's going to cover all your basics.
I watched the Democrats Convention and it was a beautiful site to see such a wide range of people and then I watched the Republican Convention and 'NO' where in that room did I as a person of 'COLOR' feel invited. IT'S TIME FOR CHANGE AND THE TIME IS NOW!

This entire election season reminds me of a day gone past: Feb 11, 1990. Nelson Mandela was released from 27 years of imprisonment. He went on to become the first Black president in South Africa! Here in the U.S, a 109 year old grandmother who has voted through the decades, has cast her vote for the first United States Presidential Nominee who happens to be Black.
As someone raised durilg the civil rights era, having seen so many things change, I am grateful to all of my predecessors for helping us (that is U.S.) to see THIS day. As for Sen. Obama, I know that his "Toots" is already rejoicing.
