er Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick to media mogul Damon Dash, a host of celebrities, athletes and politicians have found themselves knocked down from the height of fame and fortune to the poverty and obscurity in their fields over the last two years of economic decline. What is the cause of their mighty fall? Many different things, but their career downturns have created a media frenzy for stories about celebrities who are now penniless.
BV takes a look the once rich and famous who are now almost poor and shameless.

Well I am not going to dwell on this too much BUT, when folks get to deep into their "Fame" and "Fortune," they walk around like sh*t don't stink. We all have seen these individuals on MTV, VH1 and on any other show where their behavior is displayed to the upmost (including their biz in the media). What they forgot about is "US." We the consumers who have put the food on their luxury tables, clothes on their azzes and etc... Oh well, such is life and welcome back "Celebs" to the REAL WORLD...

"Pride goeth before a fall," the Bible says at Proverbs 16:18.
I've lived through two generations of watching Black men get in to positions of power that were unheard of when I was a child in the 50s, and I have personally and from afar, witnessed too many brought down to their knees by either sex, corruption, or simple foolishness. Too many of us have become proud and haughty and think that we are above the law, but there's a law that's higher than man's and that's God's law.
I think we need to look at our turning away from Biblical principles as being at the root of a lot of our pain. We can’t blame the white man or the economy when we refuse to live with integrity. It is time for us to take responsibility for our actions and try to use these positions of power to make a difference in the world.

It's really too bad that some people disregard their successes for excesses.
I have no empathy.

Why does this always happen? Yes, I agree it is pride. The person forgets how long and far it took them to make it, and then lose it so easily. Whether it is professional sports or entertainment, it is a pattern.

Undisciplined people do stupid things with money regardless of how much they have, or had. It was inevitable. I think it's a just punishment for dumbing down our youth with music that glorifies BS.

WOW, the list is growing, which is why I support knowing your business and not living above the ceiling you just crashed through. Humble living, not spending a fortune "just because you can" and tithing, as directed in Malachi could save all these individuals.

I think this is just a reminder that we all should stay grounded and level headed no matter how much money wealth or success god blesses you with.
