Please let us move on and never speak again of this absurd lawsuit dismissed by the Supreme Court Monday questioning Barack Obama's citizenship. In case you haven't been paying attention to news of the mortgage crisis, the Wall Street meltdown, the collapse of the U.S. auto industry, skyrocketing unemployment, foreign war, global terrorism concerns, we have more serious concerns. ...
The suit, filed by New Jersey gadfly Leo Donofrio, "reasoned" that since Obama had dual nationality at birth - his mother was American and his Kenyan father at the time was a British subject - he cannot possibly be a "natural born citizen," one of the requirements the Constitution lists for eligibility to be president.
To be fair, Donofrio made the same argument against GOP presidential nominee John McCain. But the larger question is why do we need to spend one second of attention on such a spurious argument when our country is facing such peril.
Desperate is the best way to characterize the reasoning behind the lawsuit which somehow managed to get all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court before being tossed in the garbage.
Shouldn't a lower court have done the same thing a long time ago?
The bottom line is that the suit attempted to do what neither Team Clinton could do during the Democratic primaries and what John McCain and the GOP could do during the general election – derail Obama's destiny to lead this country out of its current pathetic state.
Only time will tell whether he is ultimately successful. But it is certain he will get his chance.
The conservative crazies behind this line of argument are trying to use the courts to subvert the people's will expressed at the ballot box on Election Day.
Unfortunately we will all have to deal with this one more time. A Pennsylvania man is pursuing a court challenge to Obama's presidency claiming the president-elect was born in Kenya and not Hawaii as both he and Hawaii officials confirmed.
Hopefully, that will be the last silly challenge we have to stand. So let the stupid tricks end and let Obama have his chance to govern.
If you don't like Obama, that's fine.
Attack his agenda, attack his appointments, attack his ideas.
That's all a fair part of the political game. But attacking his parentage is out of bounds. Remember, few things in life will earn you bruised feelings and perhaps a bruised nose faster than attacking the ancestry of a black man.

If you want a true African prophet's take on Barack Obama, this is what Credo Mutwa, South African shaman, has to say about him. I've met Credo, and he carries frightening knowledge. Obama is *not* being straight with the American people, there is no question that he is hiding something from you. I believe you have elected a terrible liar. It's a real tragedy that you could not find an honest black politician. What a terrible shame for America and the world.
Take a good look at Mutwa's poem. Note his references to "dismal war" -- remember that prophecy, please -- and a very potent prediction of at least an assassination attempt. There's even a comment on his "fiery spouse", Credo doesn't miss a thing. Barack Hussein Obama II is absolutely nothing but trouble for the world. I think the line "holding out hope as bright as it is false", sums the story up perfectly. You have been stitched up good and proper. So long, America.
Credo Mutwa on Barack Obama
An actor walks upon the floodlit stage of life
wearing a mask of an angel beneath a demon's gown.
Pretence smiles upon the crowded hall of life
holding out hope as bright as it is false.
Son of a woman in whose veins flows the blood
of ancient Ireland and dark Africa’s plains.
You are Obama, nick-named the standing king
You are Barack, oh, son born to deceive
The suffering hordes of Africa look up to you,
See a black saviour where nought but a Judas strides.
An entrapper of nations, bringer of dismal war
Behind the robes and the nylon wings of hope
Oh, may those who look upon you, see you20as you are.
May those who hope in you behold you as you be
A prince deceitful to bring down Africa’s shrines
A siren who leads Africa’s ships onto rocks of obliteration.
Your rule my lord will not be one of peace
Your reign my king will not be one of smiles
Even as we speak in caves both dark and dank
Enraged fanatics plot your dark demise
They will put around your head a bloodwet martyr’s crown.
Oh black Kennedy following the one before
May God forgive thee and thy fiery spouse
As you walk in silence from the stage of life
Barack Obama, blessed son, Oh standing king.

Since Obama's mother was a US citizen it doesn't really matter where he was born. As for McCain his parents were also US citizens. People need to study up on the Constitution before making an ass out of themselves.
1) Any person born in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof,
(2) Any person born outside the United States to a U.S. citizen parent or parents who are eligible to transmit citizenship, and
(3) Any person adopted by the age of 18 by a U.S. citizen parent or parents who are otherwise eligible to transmit citizenship to a biological child.
