We've all heard about medical mistakes before but what happened to one mother in New Jersey is beyond comprehension. Kaylnn Moore told reporters in New York yesterday that when she went into labor a month early on December 21, doctors at Christ Hospital in Jersey decided to do a C-section.
But instead of getting her Christmas miracle, a healthy baby boy named Bashir, Moore's son was stillborn. Devastated, the young mother left her baby's remains in the care of the hospital and went home. When she came back to claim him, the hospital couldn't find his body. That's right, you heard me, the Christ Hospital claimed it couldn't find Bashir. ...
How does a hospital lose an infant's body?
If that wasn't bad enough, Moore says police told her that her son had accidentally been thrown in the trash; tossed away like garbage. How in the world could that happen? Surely, medical professionals can tell the difference between a little black boy and a pile of trash, right? Apparently, not because now officials are searching dumps in New Jersey and Pennsylvania looking for Bashir's remains.
It makes me wonder about the state of health care in this country. And, it should make you think the next time you check in the hospital.

We all human beings,and as humans mistakes will be made but you don't make mistakes when it comes to the death of a mother's infant. To care so little as to put the little black baby in the garbage, animals are treated better. I know if a white mother had lost her baby in death, the infant would have been put in the mogue with the dignity that is befitting any human being and there is no way any one can get a little stillborn baby mixed up with garbage. The young mother is never going to have closure for her baby

In searching the innernet for a place to blog about my deep concern for the deaths of all the innocent children in Gaza, I found this article. Both situations should not be happening--even in Old Testament scripture it was "eye for eye". Now its like 1 Israeli for every 54 Palestinians. And there is absolutely no excuse for this happening in a hospital that carry's the Lord's sacred name. I don't care the circumstance, honor and dignity are the least we should be offering individual to individual...a thousand mothers' grieving voices is heard around the world and tonite, I had to turn my TV off for that part of the news. I'm absolutely fed up with our mothers and children not being sacred irregardless of faith, color, or creed....I feel for the single Mom here, and all the mothers in Israel, Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Sudan.
Until we get back to our nation's spiritual well-being concerning the sacredness of all life (our generals and military planners need a full agenda of biology and ecosystem education before they go to war; can you imagine that?)...we must at least share our perspectives in prayer, so somehow other options are seriously weighed before war tactics are employed.
In honor of this particular mother and child and all mothers in war zones, I am leaving my (fake) Christmas tree up with the lights only and the star and a garland of the peace sign, until I see more honor for these families (and more than a 3 hour cease fire in Israel and Gaza.) This is the worst tragedy on top of all the others.....God Bless and Keep Safe all the innocents and bring human hands that care about the sacredness of human life. Politics have got to become a place of conversation not devastation--all these souls have a purpose and its not to be snuffed out like this---we have more solutions than problems WHEN we get clear about our sacred duties, and the highest of these is the protection of human life....please stay in prayer with me until this stops.

I don't feel like it was because she was black but I do feel like they didn't care. When she left the hospital, leaving the baby's remains with them,she herself was in shock and pain but to leave the baby's body, no way. We don't know the whole story and there may have been something done to have caused the baby to die so yes I believe they would get rid of the evidence. I don't think it was racial, more like a situation of hiding their mistake and this dones happen in hospitals. I too have worked in the health field and this sounds like the doctor was at fault about something concerning the baby's death yet to throw a human baby into the trash so damn unthinkable. to keep from getting sued and risk their insurance going up, you would be surprise as to what these doctors will do.

Yes it happen they threw away a baby what the f**** is that.My sister passed way and when we went back the next day they gave us a bag with a shirt and shoe nothing eles.She went to the hospital from work she had paint on jewelry,chains,rings panties,bra its happen my prayers go out to the family

THIS MAKES ME SO DAMN ANGRY!!!! THE SAME THING HAPPEN HERE IN HOUSTON A FEW YEARS AGO. THE MEDICAL EXAMIERS OFFICE LOST A YOUNG BLACK WOMAN'S STILLBORN BABY AND IT WAS ASSUMED THAT THAT BABY TOO WAS TOSSED IN WITH THE TRASH AND INCERNERATED. SHE SUED THEM BUT LOST THE SUIT, CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT. BUT WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM THE PEOPLE IN TEXAS, THE COPS US SHOT AN UNARMED MAN THINKING HE STOLE HIS OWN MOTHER'S CAR, EVEN AFTER SHE AND HIS DAD TOLD THE TRIGGER HAPPY LAWMAN THAT THE CAR WASN'T STOLEN. THIS WAS A GOOD KID THAT TRYING TO MAKE IT IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES AND WHOSE DAD IS A FORMER BIGTIME MAJOR LEAGUE BALL PLAYER.NOW HE IS STILL IN THE ICU WITH A BUKKET LODGED IN HIS LIVER THAT THE DOCS SAY CANNOT BE REMOVED.
THEM WHITE FOLK DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT BLACK FOLK BUT TO DO THIS TO AN INNOCENT LITTLE BABY IS DEPLORABLE. I WILL PRAY FOR THIS MOTHER.

FIRST OF ALL MY CONDOLSENCE TO THE YOUNG LADY AN HER FAMILY....THIS SITUTATION IS JUST TERRIBLE AND WARRANTS SHOULD BE IN THE MAKING FOR WHOMEVER WAS INVOLVED WITH THE INCIDENT.....THE HOSIPTAL SHOULD BE TRYING TO COME TO TURN WITH THIS FAMILY IN ANYWAY POSSIBLE TO HELP THEM THROUGH THIS (ANYWAY POSSIBLE) AND LAST THIS SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF THE MEDIAS HAND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND EVEYONE IS TRYING TO HELP BUT SEEING AND READING ABOUT THIS TRADEGY

As a Christian Mom, you probably realize that your precious son is now with the Lord, so find some peace in that and ask Him for the direction you should take legally...this is a case that needs to be spotlighted to the extent that it gives you peace. Bashir will always be with you in your thoughts and love and that is something that nobody can take away from you... what happened is tragic and because of your bravery, more hospitals will be more careful...He is a beautiful baby boy and my prayers will be with you.
Hang in there with good thoughts about Bashir, so you can heal your loss, your Spirit, and your body. LET THOSE AROUND YOU (that you trust)TAKE CARE OF THE LEGAL FOR AWHILE, SO YOU CAN BE IN PEACE AND SAFETY WITH YOUR GRIEVING FOR YOUR SWEET SON.

ITS NOT SHOCKING TO ME BEACAUSE CHRIS HOSPITAL HAS LOST THIER (RESPECT) FROM ME. MY GRANDMOTHER IS ALWAYS IN AND OUT OF THE HOSPITAL .THE CARE BY THE HOPITAL IS TERRIBLE. SOME TIMES I HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF MY GRANDMOTHER WHEN WERE THERE WASH HER SOMETIME DEMAND CLEAN SHEETS OR CLEAN THE ROOM THIS HOSPITAL HAS FAILED AND THEY NEED A WHOLE NEW TEAM OF STAFF PEOPLE THAT CARE ABOUT PATIENTS AND PROVIDE BETTER SERVICES.
