labradoodle? really? did not know labradoodles were hypoallergenic, but thinking about it, with the poodle mix, they very well could be fine. I came across an OK site that provides some background info: http://obamadogadoption.com/

If they are going to adopt from a shelter than the girls should have a big selection to choose from. If they are looking at labradoodles and Port. water dogs, those breeds come from AKC breeders and are not ususlly found in animal shelters. I hope the family finds a dog that the girls will enjoy and love. Best of Luck to the next First Family.

I think he should pick the portuguese water dog. It looks as though it has just taken a bath every time you look a it, so that will cure the need for grooming all the time. It also looks like a nappy headed ,,,, well anyway it is a nice looking bitch that will fit right into the east, west, north or south rooms..

Either one would be a good choice, though I can't help but wonder why one black, one white. Hmmmm, Freudian foundation in play? What does really bother me however, is that both dogs have coats that will be high maintenance, and like all Presidential animals, it's the taxpayer who gets the grooming and vet bills.
