BEWARE OF EVENTS HOSTED BY SCAM ARTIST DIONNE WARWICK AND YOLANDA ADAMS. THE AMERICAN MUSIC INAUGURAL BALLS WERE CANCELLED ON INAUGURATIN DAY WITH NO NOTICE TO THOSE WHO PURCHASED TICKETS. HUNDREDS ARRIVED AT THE MARRIOTT HOTEL AND SUFFERED DISAPPOINTMENT AND EMBARASSMENT. 3500+ TICKETS WERE SOLD AND NO ACCOMMODATIONS WERE MADE FOR THOSE WHO PURCHASED A TICKET AT $450 EACH.

The same thing happened to me and my family! We purchased 6 tickets for $450 each, arrived at the Wardman Park Hotel in our gowns and were informed that the event had been canceled. All of that hard-earned money wasted on attire and accessories…had they notified us at least 48 hours in advance, we could have tried to get tickets to something else.
The American Music Inaugural Balls planning team needs to be held accountable! Notifying your patrons only 24 hours in advance is unacceptable!

My heart goes out to those who purchased tickets, made travel arrangement, etc. I was called and told I won a pair of tickets after an entry I did on AOL. I did pick them up. I found out that morning after it was announced on one news station in my area. A message was left for an alternative, however no one ever called.

I was one of those unfortunate souls that purchased tickets to the inaugural brunch held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. I knew something was wrong when I showed up at the empty parking lot of the National Zoo for the free parking and shuttle to the hotel for the brunch. I had originally planned to be on the mall with the masses, and found tickets to the balls at the last minute. I was extremely disappointed. I traveled from Detroit for this once in a lifetime event. How devestating!

I am probably the 300th person waiting for a refund. If anyone is aware of how we can get that refund, please let me know. I am anxiously awaiting a reply.

Any news on getting money back if you wrote a check? Today, I'm sending my second letter to the address on the website after a 5 week wait. My bank can't reverse the check, due to it was written in good faith with my signature. Any help would be welcomed.
