Obama Manages Expectations - Weekly YouTube Address

In his first weekly address since the inauguration, President Barack Obama continued the delicate balancing act of setting out his agenda for a national economic recovery while managing expectations. ...

As Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan takes shape, the president gave a nod to increasing access to clean energy, lowering health care costs and protecting health care insurance, improving schools, making college more affordable, repairing roads and mass transportation options and expanding access to broadband.

All Americans, no matter their political party, economic status or skin color, will benefit from some aspect of the plan - if it goes off according to plan.

But the most important issue that the president has included is the acknowledgment that it might not go off according to plan and that "a bad situation could become dramatically worse" if nothing were done.

Again, as he has done through his meteoric rise to the most powerful position in the world, Obama is proving his greatest strength is his inspirational yet common sense approach to improving the nation.
