Obama: Catching His Breath

Never in our lifetimes have we seen so many challenges thrown at a new president so quickly.

Thanks to the mismanagement of the Bush Administration, President Barack Obama has been forced to to hit the ground at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. running from day one - enacting a massive economic stimulus plan, engineering a design to end the war in Iraq and attempting to reduce the $1.3 trillion deficit. ...

So President Obama used his weekly address this week to simply catch his breath and reassure Americans that the whirlwind of activity in his first few weeks of office will bring the change we voted for.

;We're moving forward with an economic agenda that will jumpstart job creation, restart lending, relieve responsible homeowners, and address the long-term economic challenges of our time: the cost of health care, our dependence on oil, and the state of our schools,"
Obama said.

Only time will tell whether Obama's policies will fix all of what ails the nation. But his swift decisive actions to clean up the mess left behind must be given a chance to work.
