Never in our lifetimes have we seen so many challenges thrown at a new president so quickly.
Thanks to the mismanagement of the Bush Administration, President Barack Obama has been forced to to hit the ground at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. running from day one - enacting a massive economic stimulus plan, engineering a design to end the war in Iraq and attempting to reduce the $1.3 trillion deficit. ...
So President Obama used his weekly address this week to simply catch his breath and reassure Americans that the whirlwind of activity in his first few weeks of office will bring the change we voted for.
;We're moving forward with an economic agenda that will jumpstart job creation, restart lending, relieve responsible homeowners, and address the long-term economic challenges of our time: the cost of health care, our dependence on oil, and the state of our schools,"Obama said.
Only time will tell whether Obama's policies will fix all of what ails the nation. But his swift decisive actions to clean up the mess left behind must be given a chance to work.

It took 8 years to get us into this mess...It may take 8 years to get us out of this mess. We have to be patient and try our best to make it through these tough times. There's no easy solution.

Barack is not trying to FIX the problems of the last eight yrs, he's continuing those policies. Black people better stop listening to what Pres Obama is saying and start looking at what he's doing. He and GWBush work for the same people and it's not "us". Yeah, he'll throw a bone or two out there to give the illusion of change, but it's really the same. Come on now, if he was truly troubled by the economy don't you think he'd put a stop to bailing out the banks. Look at the folks he's urrounded himself with, the same people who got us in this crisis to begin with. Start reading and doing your own research. Google the folks who are on his cabinet. Hey, ignore what's really going on if you want to, but one day you're gonna wake up and it'll be much too late.

Never seen a president in my life time take the presidential office in such a crappy state of dismay.., And to boot he has agitation,instigation and obstruction from the very party gernerated and supports most of the problem... In a sense irony.., although no one wants to see American labor suffer collaterally in the conservatives (Obstructionist) game of "winner takes all"...I'm weary of who comes to save the day... I'm afraid President Obama is to nice of a guy in a pool of sharks when corporations like AIG, CITICORP have gone unregulated and encourage to profit at the benefit of agressive flawed contracts that has out priced its consumers... Regardless technological wiring of these financial corporation The American government has to come up with a solution to counter a AIG or Citicorp financial failure... So far President Obama faced with the fuel cost of war said "hey alternative energy".., (GE) General Electric faces Washington funding for solar & wind energy plans... But where the a AIG is concern the taxpayers raised the hoods to the problem, threw billons of (stimulus)dollars at what we thought was the problem only to find out that the wiring was to complicated and only the AIG tech/mechs know how their vehicle work but were to busy on shelling out bonuses,jets and golf junkets... I'd say CHARGE THEM!!! No more getting you vehicle fixed at the taxpayers expense.., If you park your coporation holding American mortgages & labor hostage because of faulty contracts while your waiting in the stimulus lane.., It means the corporation didn't regulate themselves or sell out for parts.., But the faulty contracts stop or get the numbers right but keep it moving... The obstruction stops... It's time for the "corporation auctions"... These corporations are asking for stimulus with contracts profits out of the range of the consumers.., Bosses and employees to take cut in their wages.. America has states asking bosses & employees to take cuts in their wages The HELL WHAT THE CEO's deserve!! it does fly no more... Sell!!

President Obama is putting forth plans aimed at not only solving problems for the short term, but for the long-term as well. I think the healthcare summit he held was a great way to start the discussion on reforming the health care system.

I WANT TO BELIEVE THAT THE PRESIDENT HAS GOOD FAITH AND DOES KNOW WHAT IS DOING, BUT AT THE SAME TIME HE CAN NOT BE TOO SENSITIVE ABOVE ALL TOWARDS THE BAND OF THE CEOS, THEY KNEW EXACTLY HAD HAPPENED WITH THE MASSIVE "CACH"; TRUST MY WRITING, THEY STILL TRULY KNOW. THEREFORE THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHOULD FORCE THEM TO TAKE CARE THEIR OWN BAIL-OUT. AND THEY WOULD, NO DOUBT. Ann, I feel you on that. They need to look at The Boule, and the Illuminati if they REALLY want to know what's going on.
I don't trust anyone who is a distant cousin of Cheney or Bush. All of them are known to be a part of the elite 10% mega rich like the Rothschilds, the Rockerfellers, and all of the rich bankers worldwide, who want to control the world and the government. I totally agree with your comment regarding being fooled by the elite. I just wish people would research and study for themselves then they would know what time it is. we have been bamboozled. Barack Obama does not know what he is doing. He is taking advice from the very people that got us here. The only "change" in Washington is the color of the man in the BIG chair. There is a "government" behind the government and it is called M. O. N. E. Y. that's who is calling the shots and he owes so many favors for there support he wont be in office long enough to pay it back. Wake up black america and smell what got cooked, our goose!!!!
