'Chocolate News' Canceled - Another Show Bites the Dust

D.L. Hughley's not the only one getting a pink slip.

'Chocolate News,' with David Alan Grier, has also been axed. Neither show completed an entire season.

Word is both 'D.L. Hughley Breaks the News' and the Comedy Central show will play through the rest of the month.

Maybe Grier will do better on the new season of 'Dancing With The Stars' -- at least he's got another job.

So why did these shows die? Was America ready for a black president but not two black comedians commenting on the news at the same time?

As one Baltimore Sun TV critic put it:
Were one or both of the shows offensive to blacks, as some have claimed or are we the nation of "cowards" when it comes to talking about race? ...

I'm no critic, but I think both shows were just okay. So I'm not surprised.

Watch. Enjoy.
