Cosby was not a buffoon for whites. He was a successful comedian who had a large following of all races because his comedy was very universal and crossed racial lines. He took advantage of an opportunity to be the first black to co-star and win an Emmy award on a weekly tv show. Long before all these so-called "pro-black" (LOL) hip hop comedians came out, Cosby was paving the way for them to be able to stand onstage and call each other n!66as and b!tches and grab their crotch, using all kinds of foul language.
He's also been on the forefront for blacks to continue their education and get their advanced degrees so we could be on equal standing in fruitful careers with whites but that fact obviously escaped alot of people who want to criticize him now. That fact was also ignored so now we have a large population of blacks with little or no advanced education and can't compete in the workplace. All too happy to get a job instead of a career. Rather work at a carwash or baggage handler at the airport than have a corporate job in an office or be a doctor or lawyer. Rather be unemployed than to work next to whites. Waiting for Fridays to spend up their little bull$h!t paycheck instead of saving for a house or future.
You said his last three shows were failures? He only had one failure after the Cosby Show and that was Cosby Mysteries. "Cosby" lasted four years and 95 eps. Not a screaming success like the Cosby Show but good enough to be renewed three more seasons.
He was totally right about what he said. No matter what kind of situation he's been in himself, his words still ring true. Criticizing him for his own faults is just a way of trying to change the subject. Too many blacks want to put their heads in the sand and act like they don't see how we act and treat each other and how the world sees us. We figure since the world thinks we're n*****s anyway, it's ok to act like one. It doesn't matter where Cosby says it, be it a black college or white college, black folks wouldn't listen anyway. We want to attack anyone we feel attacks or critcizes us. Blacks need to stop acting like victims. We are the ones responsible for the problems we're having now. Racism will always be with us. Other races don't seem to have a problem advancing despite all the racism they encounter. They work together. They play the game. They go to college, start their own businesses and save their money so they and their family can live better. Blacks are the only race that refuse to help themselves and try to tear down the ones trying to prosper. Like crabs in a barrel.

More of our children have fail into a comfortable life style of ignorance. parents are not stressing the fact of the importance of education. No doubt minorities do not run this country. also minorities do not have to many open doors to the world of opportunities that may lead them a wide filed of success, but that dose not mean there are no open doors. we have to many lazy people who dream but fail to use persistence along with a focused drive to obtain a successful lifestyle. I believe that because of the lack of moral standards and motivation that is rapidly dying with most of our grandparents, parents, and those who've lost faith in guiding those in communities where poverty and ignorance are at it's all time high; left those who have no clue of what to do end up turning toward those who delight them selves in deliberately sabotaging their own community with, dope, gangs, and prostitution. It's sad, because of this those who are trying to elevate their life by pursuing an education still have obstacles that only those in a low class society are forced to face in order to get to their goals. most fail, but few make it. where is the helping hand in our communities, there are still people here who are willing to jump through those obstacles to set a path of success for there children. there is a major problem to where those who are limited or starting to believe that they are doomed of their current state of failure in which they live. now with knowing all of this the question still remains who are we to look to for assistance without hindrance?

Many here have complained that I refer to blacks as "Negroes". But
the terms "colored" and "Negro" are fine with Bill Cosby, so why not
with you?:
