From AP: The Apollo Theater paid tribute to Michael Jackson and opened its doors for fans to come and remember the King of Pop, who played the famous Harlem theater.
Hundreds of Michael Jackson fans circled the block around the theater for a public tribute to the pop star, some spontaneously singing their favorite songs and dancing in the street. ...
But the highlight of the day-long event was the Rev. Al Sharpton dancing with director Spike Lee, then grinding up on some random MJ fan.
Mr. Sharpton, we've seen Michael Jackson dance, and you are no Michael Jackson.

Before Michael Jackson died, he was a pariah. Now's he's a hero, an icon and a role model. This mere mortal is now in God's hands, along with his many dark secrets.

I love Michael Jackson. He was the best entertainer ever. I miss him dearly. I am sorry that in AOL there are so many racists and haters.
Thanks Sharpton for your special tribute to M.J. It means a lot to his true fans.

I enjoyed Michael Jackson's music. He was so talented. No one in the entertainment field these days could touch him. It seemed that everything he touched turned to gold or platinum. But I must disagree on calling him the "best entertainer ever". That title alone belongs to Mr. Elvis Presley, the greatest entertainer and recording artist of all time. Michael Jackson is easily the "Crown Prince" of the entertainment field. If anybody could fill Elvis' shoes, it would be Michael Jackson. When Elvis died, Michael came along and helped heal the pain the world was feeling after Elvis' death. After Michael Jackson appeared, the entertainment field was never the same. Now which artist will step forward to help heal the pain of losing Michael Jackson? No one. Why? Because no one out there is even close to being as good as him. The music world has now lost its two greatest entertainers, Elvis in 1977 and Michael Jackson in 2009. God bless you both!!!!

Andrea.........
Guess what!? I am one of those children who begged my mom to listen to me about my step fathers abuse.. so yes, many times out of the mouth of babes comes a true story. Many times NOT!
The courts found him innocent. The parents were usually nearby or there, the children were cancer patients, and Michael would not harm a baby cat let alone a child!
He sufferred this abuse and embarrassment from charges he could not always dissprove because it was the child said! But once in court, the judge determined the mother or father said, and the child looked to them for coaxing...it was all about MONEY!

What rock hides Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton until something of interest to the Black community hits the news. Only something where they can get their sticky fingers into someones money causes them to come out. Who pays their expenses? Who pays for their travel? Its damned sure not the White community. Wake up Blacks. They are parasites on your community. Your even listening to them diminshes my respect for you. They are cockroaches of the first order.

Just to clarify, I did admire Michael Jackson as an entertainer. I didn't admire him as a person. Despite his difficult upbringing he was a grown man with a sense of right and wrong. The things he did to those children was wrong. However, I will still listen to his music and enjoy it. Just because I admire him as an entertainer doesn't mean that he should get a "get out of jail free" card for his behavior. Learn to separate the art from the artist. Bill Clinton was a great President, he was a terribly husband. Learn how to separate!

michael jackson was innocent. he just made bad decions that put him in a position to be set up by people who used their children for a fast buck. Same goes for OJ he was innocent but white america wasnt satisfied. Since a white woman died he was automatically guilty. Give me a break Michael Jackson did not do any of those outrageous allegations and his memory will always have a downside because of people like you

Truth be told, OJ was found not guilty not by a jury of his peers, but by a jury of his own race. That jury was primarily African American. If it were a jury of his peers the jury would have been primarily white people since those were truly his peers. OJ left his first wife, who was black, and his community behind years before the murders. He true peers were the white people he immersed himself with. Once he got in with the "Country Club" set he forgot all about the black community and never looked back to give any other up and coming African American a leg up.

We should let the dead rest in peace. Michael has crossed a bridge that all of usw has to cross some day." Let he without sin cat the first stone".
Michael, I love you, until we meet again, rest in peace. A woman that always loved you and always will.
