When I first saw this headline a few days ago, I didn't know the race of the child who'd been offered up for sex by his adoptive father, Frank Lombard. I felt relief and gratitude that this deviant had been caught and nauseated that anyone would adopt an infant to have an in-house sex slave.But today, I find out that this perp deliberately sought a black child because he would face less scrutiny in getting his hands on a black infant [warning graphic]:
In the chat transcript, WRAL reports, "F.L." is asked how he got access to a child so young. "Adopted," he replied and said that the process was "not so hard ... esp (sic) for a black boy."
In the chat, "F.L." told [Det. Timothy] Palchak that abusing the child was "easier when he was too young to know what was happening and when he couldn't talk. ...He had a little too much Benadryl. This horror of a case plays into every suspicion, reluctance and skepticism of those us of concerned about cross-racial adoptions. Of course, on its face, it's not a rational apprehension.
Certainly, headlines and Department of Child and Family services offices are filled with biological and same-race adoptive and foster parents abusing children in their care.
But those of us who understand how insidious racism can be are cognizant of, and worry about, the possibility that white adoptive parents may have less-than-wholesome motives for adopting a black child.

As a mother and a African American mother more specifically, this story has bothered me to no end. I know what I am about to say has only to do with part of this story, however SISTERS, PLEASE STOP HAVING KIDS SO HAPHAZARDLY WITH MEN WHO HAVE NOT INTENTION OF BEING IN YOUR LIFE OR THE CHILD'S LIFE, WHICH CAUSES SOME MOTHERS TO GIVE UP THEIR BABIES/CHILDREN. WE ARE TURNING OUR KIDS OVER TO AGENCIES WHO THROW THEM AWAY TO MONSTERS LIKE THIS ONE....AGAIN I AM NOT SAYING MY COMMENT ENCOMPASSES THE TOTAL STORY, HOWEVER WE AS AFRICAN AMERICAN MOTHERS SIMPLY HAVE TO STEP UP TO THE PLATE REGARDING PROCTECTING OUR KIDS AND NOT HAVING THEM UNTIL WE ARE READY AND IN A SITUATION THAT ALLOWS US TO TOTALLY SUPPORT THEM. As this story reminds us, our black kids are not as valued in some adoption processes as other races.

This is not a hard case to fix just drop his gay ass( Yes he's gay ,any man who sticks his instrument in another man or boy is gay) in the middle of an inner city with a sign stuck to him that says "I raped a Black boy that I adopted". Case closed!!!!!

I csn only focus on a healing for this child. My heart, soul, spirit, being cries and bleeds for thisd manchild. Send love and healing thought of power to this child, save your energy and direct it towards the manchild. He needs it. The energy of anger being directd towrds the perp is too precious to waste. It is the same energy one could use to love and heal. Energy is energy. So let's direct our energy towards the child for love, compassion and restorative healing. The rest will be taken care of. No I am not advocating the perp go unpunished. Believe me he will be punished. Even if the "Lsw" does not do a thorougg job. These depraved devious degenerative actions will not go unpunished by the laws of Karma. He will not be the only one in his family to suffer. Let's decide on a time and date to send healing love and thoughts to the manchild involved. Use time, enrgy and thought-power for the manchild's healing. Let's not waste our precious energy on the perp.

I agree. Positive energy should be directed to this situation, and Prayers of healing and reconciliation. I will be doing this at 4:00 pm cst beginning this date. Please join with me. I will present a petition to the almighty for Spiritual help for families, and those who are responsible for the care of all children. I am asking the almighty to dispatch the Angels to bring help to those in need. I will also ask for wisdom, and fairness. We adopted two through the One Church one Child program, and they are both grown now, married and servicng with the U.S. Military. There is a way to do quality social work. Been there, as a social worker and adoptive mom.

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME READING OF THIS AND AS I WRITE MY COMMENTS IT MAKE ME SICK OF THE STOMACH. HOW COULD A LOW LIFE DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS, HE REALLY IS SICK AND TIED AND SUZANNA I AGRRE WITH EVERYTHING YOU SAID AND EVERYONE ELSE . I LIKE TO KNOW WHAT ADOPTION AGENCY HAS TO SAY ABOUT IT. I HOPE FROM NOW ON THEY WILL BE A LOT MORE THOROUGH WITH WHO THEY LET ADOPT. IF HE IS GAY THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN A RED FLAG FOR ME.

yo dats 2 much, i kno i aint never gona get a chance to get mah hands round his necc, but I KNOW dat wen he gets 2 lockup, he's gettin hurt somthin serious, and even though thats gona happen again and again and again, at least im hopin it, its not gona mak up 4 wat he did, he's a monster, the type of person that doesnt think or care, the type who i hope feels every bit of pain and suffering alone and scared in jail, i couldnt be more sincere about that, and im tellin yall now dat if he gets off lik he aint do nuttin or anythin less than 25, there's gona b som real s*** poppin off, nd dats werd

I just stumbled on this article and have never responded to any forums in the past, but I can't help my self right now. I can not even put into word how this news sickens me. I also feel this man should experience his crimes against this child before being put to a slow and painful death. I will pray for this boy and all of the other unknown victim's who have experienced similar abuse or abuse of any kind. God, please wrap your arms around our children of the world, no matter what color, and help us to preserve their innocence and make us all better able to protect them. They need to have good childhood experiences that will allow them to become the great leaders of the world. It's inevitable, we will not live forever and the children are the future. If they are scarred and fearful and contiuously neglected and abused what does the future hold? We have to begin to create a beetr world. While it is not our place to be the judge and jury, that is God's job, what are we to do while we are here? It should not be so easy for these crimes to prevail. While I am personally against abortion I can see why some mothers make that choice if they know they will not be able to care for, raise or protect their children. The people that feel they have the right to demand someone's existance are not able to protect them from monsters like this. We need to punish crimes against children so severely that these monsters take their own lives at the thought of the punishment they will face if they carry out these monstrous thoughts/deeds. They need to know what they are in for when these sick seeds of evil thought start germinating.

If you are a father or a mother you are suppose to love your child, not sale them your rape them are lord did not send them to anybody for them to be hurt in anyway .How sick are you they need to put he's butt under the jail.
