New York congressman Peter King rips Michael Jackson a new one in a strange YouTube video that's circulating.King says the "media" and "society" is screwed up for putting Jackson on a pedestal, calling the singer a "low life" and "child molester." King adds, "He may have been a good singer, but the bottom line is would you let your child or grandchild be in the same room as Michael Jackson?" (via PopEater)
I think congressman King should take his soap box to Harlem outside the Apollo theater and see what people there think. Otherwise, you can take your opinion to the congressman's inbox.
Should we be surprised that something like this is coming from an old white Republican and, as one BlackVoices member put it, 'a known a-hole?' Noooooo. It sound's like something Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly would say.
But why's this grumpy guy so filled with hate and venom?

i am black and would not let my child be in the same room with him when he was alive. and for all of you who act like it was ok with what he did, then it was ok what the cathloic ungodly men did to all of those little boys.
a look at it like this: a low life is a low life no matter what color or how much money they have. peace

i got your back on that one. i myself said the same thing that this man said. why in the hell is every channel reporting about micheal jackson. i wouldn't leave my child alone with this man, and any parent who did should have been arrested and charged with endangering their child. i will not back someone because the are black or put out good music, knowing in my heart that something was wrong with the picture.

Who cares about what he thinks and who is he anyway? My childhood memories is not complete without MJ's music. As Kid I could watch Thriller over and over again. The memorial was too emotional for me to watch even though i have never seen him person. MJ was and still is a Star for me.
I love you MJ. RIP

Pete king need to shut up All the good work Michael Jackson have done in his live while he was with us.Micheal went to court and was found not guilty. So he should leave that along Michael still have children. Also please do not compare michael to Elvis. Elvis could never be as good as Michael. Elvis was a petophile he marriage a child. (SO LEAVE MICHAEL JACKSON ALONG) the world show you who Michael Jackson was, how much he have done, and how much he mean too the world so leave him at peace. Now it is time for Michael to have a Stamp, and a street name after him. Tell King to get to working on that, or shut up his mouth.I ask one more time never, ever compare Michael to Elvis. If Elvis was living today he could not touch Michael. Remember what Michael have done for our world, (Now Elvis ). Michael gave of himself to the world. He gave most of his money to help other. To Mr. Michael J Jackson Mother May God keep his eye on you, as you help your family I am a mother, and I know you have to be the strong one to keep the family going. You know where Michael is now so keep looking up our help come from above.

Michael publicly justified sleeping in bed with young, underage boys. There is nothing normal about that and you people who ignore this are pathetic.
Michael obviously hated being black as well unless spending all the $$$ on makeup and plastic surgery that he did was something else you fans want to um, ignore....

Words are being wasted on someone like Peter King. The more you say about him, it puts him in the spot light, that's what he wants, a no body. As far as him saying MJ was a pervert, think about this... The greedy parents of those so called children should be re-investigated. Now if you knew someone was or had molested your child, truly, wouldn't you have done something about it? And I don't mean seek money? Come on now? Either they'd be dead, or will have wished to be dead after you'd finish with them. Now that Michael is gone, one of the kids have come forward and said the whole thing was a lie, and he did it cause his parents wanted money, so the kid went along with it. Shame on you, shame on the adults, the parents. Liars they are. Kiss that King, your assumptions are even a lie. You are judgemental, have narrow views, narrow minded and should not be working in public office.

Peter King is a player hater! Michael Jackson is no longer with us and all he can do is conjure up hate! Dear Peter: Where were you when all the prostitutes in Politics were having a party! Upset because you were not invited or sad because you cannot get the attention Michael Jackson has received and by the way How much money have you donated to charity in your lifetime? What exactly is the definition of Politician? A person actively engaged in government or politics. Mr. King use our tax funds wisely, attempting to gain negative attention is not conducting the business of the state. Please use your energy to create resolutions to the economic meltdown, immoral behavior and death of innocent young people your industry has caused!
