If I hear one more Chris Brown fan prattle on about how Brown is being "unfairly" victimized in the the aftermath of his victimization of his former girlfriend Rihanna I think my head's going to explode. And his $300,000 "Oops" necklace is a very bad look right now IMHO. It clearly triggers the Gap Band's classic "Oops upside your head." Not funny. And if Chris Brown doesn't get the implication, I'd say he needs new handlers.
Look, my original post got eaten by digital gremlins, but the bottom line is this: if fan adulation washes away all accountability for his assault of his ex, it will do Chris Brown no good.
A talented performer, with a bright future as an artist, Brown should not be demonized or precluded from earning a living. He plead guilty to felony assault and is scheduled to do public service and undergo counseling.
That's all good. However, when conversations about Brown's crimes seem to almost instantly flip into debates about whether "it's okay for a woman to hit a man" and "not expect to get hit back?" For the record, it is not and that is a separate discussion. If, in fact Chris Brown was a victim of domestic violence, then he should have reported his abuser, otherwise it''s all hearsay.

i had to read again what you said and had to ask this..
how does chris wearing a chain he ordered prior to the fight show he has not learnt anything??? please explain coz i am scratching my head on this one..also, has chris told you he has not learnt anything??? how can we help him be less accountable for his actions if we dnt know what he is feeling and that includes you..that is not right!!!he has been punished and when he does his task he will feel it so leave him alone!!!
now if rihanna was beaten to a pulp as you say, why did she not press charges herself, why did she go back to him after a couple of days and why did she not want to testify out of her own free will??? even after the plea, why was she asking for the judge not to put the stay away order in place..if rihanna was so innocent, why has she not taken a stand against abuse..stop calling chris out on what he should have done if he was abused because rihanna herself has done nothing to show that she was...why are you not callin her out on that or her handlers..oh i forget she is the victim and can do no wrong...she can party, sleep with men but not stand up for abuse and its ok..chris on the other hand must be the poster child and not have a life???
rihanna has had a history of violence..it takes to tango and make no mistake she was in on that fight that night..infact if it was not for her actions, this would have not happened in the first place..so far we have had one count of what happened which i do not believe and will not judge him..at this point if you are gonna call out chris, i suggest you call out both coz both need to learn from this not just one!!!!And leave him alone geez...

Chris Brown, she be spending his money wisely.
The fans giveth and the fans taketh it away. If he's not careful. He'll be like MC Hammer. "Bankrupt". By a cheaper necklace, and something thing that shows class.

Watch your mom get beat, try to help her and get beat yourself then tell me its only a big deal cause he got caught. I hate it was Chris and Rihana
but real talk im glad its in the open. Lets put some light on the subject. And regardless of when the chain was commissioned it was extremely distaseful and unempathetic to wear. I would have been much more impressed (not that I need to be)with a $300,000 donaton to a battered womens shelter on top of whatever else he's done. Funny thing though the same people who are castrating Chris are the same ones who think its ok to call a "tank top" or undershirt a "wife beater", it actually makes me cringe everytime i here it.

All the chain is doing is showing off his child-like behavior. He clearly understanings he made a mistake, but the impression the necklace gives off is that he takes the situation as a joke. I doubt the situation has changed him, but lets let his new music be the judge.

man I am a sweet young lady who is raising my only daughter. I was a victim of domestic violence and stalking before there was a law. it cased me to be harder on men and yes i was quick to swing in up in my face confrontations. i know now the strength of my chin. I can now tell my daughter be careful with boys. that first lick hurts like h3!!. nine times out of ten you will be in a situation at least once how you handle it is your choice. but know that if you as a women hits first then you better knock him out. and if he hits you and lets you walk. yo better make sure that your next move makes him never want to hit a woman again. now i thank the jerk that hit me . it helped me to develop more respect for myself. I don't even do the heated arguments with any one. it will only get ugly.
