Bravo Chris! Chris Brown has taped a full, unequivocal apology for his assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna in February. On the tape, Brown appears sincere, contrite and humble.
He offers no excuses. See for yourself:
Chris Brown states that he wants to live a worthy of the title role model; I'd say he's taken a powerful step on that journey. I had hoped to see something like this from him.
Good Lookin' out Michael K @ DListed

This is what i prayed for is for Chris brown to show legitimate remorse. He was humble and seem to be very apologetic. That was a big step and it takes a man to be able to come forth and admit to mistakes and apologize for it. I am proud of you Chris. after all you to me is the closet thing we have to Late Michael Jackson

About time. Good for him. He needed to man up to his mistake. We are all guilty of mistakes and as mad as I was at what he did,I forgive him and hope he stands by what he has stated, never to abuse anyone again.

Well done Chris. Glad that you acknowledged things and hopefully you are getting the help needed so that it doesn't happen again in the future. Thanks for not trying to sweep it under the rug and taking responsibility.

I accept his aplogy. He really seems like he's sorry. I appreciate him coming out and take responsiblity for his mishaps. Him publicatly saying I'm sorry to all his fans shows that he's man enough to know he was wronge in what he did.

I had said in other blogs on BV that Chris Brown should go publicly and apologize and he did. It is never late to apologize to his family, his friends, his fans, and media. He owes that to everybody. This is a start. I know he meant every word from his heart. It would be good for him and Rhianna to go publicly around different events, schools, TV Shows (106 N Park just to name since it targets young youth), ect... to get the message out about domestic violence on how it can hurt, destroy, and kill a life. I feel, that would be good on both part because they both experienced it and this can help and save other people's lives. I feel that Rhianna should speak and educate younger and older youth and how it can affect one's life. God might have a plan for both of them to help and educate others put aside musiI pray that Chris stays on the right path, continue on getting the help and support, make music again, and for people to forgive him for his mistake.

I meant to say in my comment, "help and educate others by putting music aside" and "I pray that he stays on the right path"

I am grateful that Chris Brown has taken this approach to asking for forgiveness as well as realizing that he too must forgive himself. I have great respect for a person who openly admits his/her mistakes, especially when it has hurt so many others. My daughter is a HUGE fan of Chris Brown and she is only 6. She understands the mistake he made and even now as I do, prays that she isn't faced with this type of situation ever in her life. I am able to now allow her to see this apology and explain to her that everyone needs to be forgiven when they ask for it, just as God forgives us when we ask Him for it. I'm sad and sorry that this situation took place with Chris and Rihanna but am encouraged that valuable lessons are being learned because of it.
