President Obama's lighthearted crack about the possibility of being arrested or SHOT (for being a black) in the White House reminded me of this hysterical Dave Chappelle bit from way back.
First, there was "driving while black." Now, Gatesgate has sparked a new piece of terminology: "home while black."

Yes, I agree that police behavior in this incident was not optimal. Dropping the charges was the correct thing to do. Blame however, should be shared equally by the Cambridge police and by Gates himself. He failed to do everything he could have to defuse the situation instead of exacerbating it. He went straight from 0 to 60. No one blames him for being angry. Gates could have maintained a calm demeanor when questioned by the responding officer and offered to provide additional proof that he was the homeowner. Racial profiling does exist, no question. Gates has exprienced it before we can be sure. In this instance, he did not have to go there. Cooler heads did not prevail.

Your statement has some validity. Although, I wouldn't use the word racist to discribe the few who make life in predominately Black neighborhoods unbearable. However; the destruction (by Whites)
of predominately Black communities began soon after the Civil War ended. Mission accomplished.

Mr. Gates, You owe the Sgt. An apology. President Obama should not have spoken out on the incident without knowing any of the facts. The Officer was doing his job, Black or White. Shame on Mr Gates.

Obama and the Obama backed news CNN media want racism, it devides the people, and people divided are more easily controlled. The officer was well within protocol to arrest this man, and he should not apologize for doing his job. If this were a white, yellow or red man that had been arrested we would not ever have known it happened.The white house, under obama, is fueling the story, his (obama) goal is to divide the country into civil unrest, by playing the race card he is insighting blacks to hate whites even more and is using that to win power over them for votes, to dicredit all authority other than his or his government--He has already taken control over the black community, as a whole they do what he says,when he says.His goal is clear complete control of every single person in the US, He knows he can not do that politicialy, so he will do it through media fuled racism, civil unrest and God forbid civil war. That you blacks can never win!

Obama has finally spoken on one of the most prevalent and prevasive civil rights issue violation beleaguering African American men who are law-abiding citizens and that is the issue of subtle and overt racial profiling.
