Tuesday is President Barack Obama's 48th birthday, and the occasion obviously has the anti-Obama "birthers" all in a tizzy. A supposedly "authentic" version of President Barack Obama's Kenyan birth certificate is still plastered all over conservative Web sites this morning. Touted as "what they don't want you to see" and "the smoking gun," this creased yellowed paper, at first glance, indeed looks like something time-worn and official. Further adding to the hype is the claim, on at least one site, that the source of this document wishes to remain anonymous for "fear for their life." Ooooo, scary.
Well, it turns out that this "source" may have more to fear from irate "birthers" once this latest holy grail is confirmed to be just one more fake in a long line of hoaxes.
The Website Native and Natural Born Citizenship Explored shreds it with facts:
Happy Birthday, Mr. President
The document is dated early 1964, but Kenya did not officially become a republic until December of that year. So why does this paper say the Republic of Kenya? The country's official constitution doesn't even use the term. It simply says Kenya.
More problems have surfaced
1. It's dated Feb 14, 1964, and refers to Kenya as a republic -- a designation not made official until December 1964.
2. It's number 44 O 47 is a bit coincidental. Obama, who is 47, is the 44 president of the Unites States.
3. The name EF Lavender is also a bit funny sounding. Earth Friendly Lavender is the name of a detergent
4. Mombasa did not become part of Kenya until 1963; it used to be part of Zanzibar
5. The Coast General Hospital is actually called the Coast Provincial General Hospital

Read the comments section following the post for even more evidence that this document is a fake. Um, duh, since our president was born in Hawaii, that would make it a fake, too.
Still, the birthers refuse to accept that their obsession is a circular trek to a dead end. I am not surprised that some of the same folks who swore up and down that "a friend, of a friend, of a friend had actually seen the mythic Michelle Obama "whitey tape" now refuse to drop their conviction that our commander-in-chief is in fact an undocumented, un-entitled poseur.
Whatever. There are so many valid policy arguments for Obama opponents to make, I just don't understand this energy-expending farce.

This is to Brian. Who did you vote for? The people that voted for President Obama voted for him. They are satisfied. We didn't vote for McCain or whomever you voted for. Whomever it was, they are not the President. You can't reverse it? You need to go on with your life because OBama is the President of the United States because we put him there. You think any of your accusations are going to change that? We are satisfied with his Birth Certificate. He doesn't need to prove anything to us anhd don't really have to show you anything. You just as well accept your fate and get on with your life. If it was me, I would start admitting you people to an asylum. I think it would be worth while to see if you people are nuts. Then we can put you away.

Obama backers should remember that they spent 8 years viciously complaining about President Bush. The "Birthers" are retribution for the Dems uncivil complaining. The old addage what goes around comes around has come back to bit the Dems. Keep complaining about the birthers while Obama is losing support on Healthcare. Remember that he had to have the support of the white community to get elected. Also, remember the man is half white and raised by his white family.

You know what...this is pathetic! From George Washington to George Bush, the presidents have been white. And ONE Black man get in the chair and white folks lose their DAMN minds! One thing is for sure..HE CAN"T DO NO WORSE THAN THE ONES BEFORE HIM!! EVERYTHING this man do, seems to become news worthy. WHY??!! This man has a family and a life! People are so used to OLD, 'BOUT DEAD white men, that they can't take a YOUNG President that has fun and enjoy life as well as lead the country. Instead of critizing him on EVERY hand, we should band together as a country and pray for him that God will lead and guide him to make the right decisions and as the Leader of our country.
Because regardless, at the end of the day..NO.. UNTIL the end of his term, he will be...THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!
BTW, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR. PRESIDENT!!
