According to TV Newser, Don Imus will be joining the FOX Business Network. The shock jock inked a deal with the network to simulcast his 'Imus in the Morning" radio show.
Imus is infamous for calling members of the Rutger's female basketball team "nappy-headed hoes" and "jigaboos" in April 2007. Protesters forced sponsors to pull ads from Imus' show, resulting in MSNBC dropping his telecast and CBS firing him altogether a week later.
It's a fine time for Imus to re-emerge, with the cacophony of racist accusations, general belligerence and firearms.
His show will air Oct. 5. FOX Executive VP Kevin Magee had this to say:
We're excited to welcome a renowned broadcaster like Don Imus to the FOX Business team. His 40 years of on-air experience combined with his superb interviewing skills and capitalist sensibilities will be a great addition to our lineup.
Right. I just hope Imus is aware that folks are watching him. And just as he caught it in 2007, he, and colleague Glenn Beck, can catch it again in 2009 and beyond.

He did his time. Everyone deserves a second chance. Sound familiar???? That is what some are saying about Mike Vick. If someone who tortured animals can play for the Eagles, then this man can talk on the radio!

Ah yes, can't keep a good racist down...how long until you say something else stupid, Mr. Scarecrow?
AND OF COURSE, it's faux recruiting another xenophobe. Isn't hunting season approaching soon?
I agree with Kelly

Let Imus have his show and who's even dwelling on what he said in the past. im not all blk people in the blk race, but one an individual from the blk race.... and dont think like every blk person in the whole race as one, which would be really F**king stupid! im proud of who i am, my culture and what i have. other races are the wish they could be's that culture stealing from us from braids dreads style etc. (you name it)! so no matter what negativity or racist comments any white person spew, (i know its jealousy)

If we forgive Vick, we should forgive Imus.

There is no comparison between Vick and Imus. There is something inherently wrong with Vick, Imus made a stupid comment, but it's supposed to be comedy, it was no big deal, people made way too much of it.

We all know that if Imus had called those women, "Some fine hoes!" he would still be on MSNBC.
But he (following his producer) called them "nappy-headed."
That hair description is what fired up Black people.
Rappers have been calling women "hoes" years before Imus and there wasn't a bit of protest.
To be MORE upset with being called, "Nappy-Headed" instead of being called, "hoes" says a lot about how we've fallen!

And that IS something to think about. Seriously. "You can call me a 'hoe'- just don't call me a nappy-headed hoe". Sad.
