President Barack Obama declared swine flu, or H1N1, a national emergency on Saturday, since more than 1,000 people have died from the disease in the United States and production of the virus has not met demand. [Yahoo News]

China Does Billion-Dollar Deal with Guinea
China is said to have completed a $7-billion deal with Guinea, mining bauxite and other natural minerals from the West African country. Critics are saying that China looks to do business with a number of African countries irrespective of how they abuse their nations. [ABC News]
