The Southern Christian Leadership Conference will be electing a new president next week. Of the two candidates, Rev. Bernice King is running. If she were to win, King would be the first female president in SCLC's history. Her father, Rev. Dr. Martin L. King, is a co-founder of the civil rights organization. [AP]

Muslim Leader Killed in FBI Raid
Luqman Ameen Abdullah, 53, was killed in a shootout with FBI agents on Wednesday. Abdullah is said to have been the imam, or spiritual leader, of a radical Muslim group in the Detroit area. FBI agents said Abdullah encouraged his followers to be anti-government and violent. [NPR.org]
Wal-Mart Adds Caskets to its Inventory
Wal-Mart has added a new item to its product line: caskets. The discount store now has funeral caskets selling as low as $999 and may compromise funeral homes' corner on the market. [Huffington Post]
