Brooklyn Wife Tries to Abort Husband's Jump-off's Baby

Keisha Jones, 38, a mother of four, is married to Anthony, who has been involved with another woman for the past three years. Monique Hunter, 25, is the other woman and didn't have a clue that her lover was a married man. Hunter became pregnant with Anthony's baby, and the plot that ensues unravels like a Lifetime movie.

When Jones found out about Hunter's pregnancy, she devised a diabolical plan to get rid of the young woman's baby. She started by calling her husband's mistress, pretending to be a health care worker from Hunter's doctor's office. Jones explained to the young pregnant woman that she needed to take some medication that would prevent her from having a child with Down syndrome. The drug that Jones recommended was Cytotec, which can ripen a woman's cervix and induce labor.

Hunter had no reason to doubt the caller and proceeded to her local pharmacy to pick up the prescription, which had been called in by Jones. How Jones managed to get the prescription filled is still a mystery. Hunter went home, took the drug and immediately went into labor. She was rushed to a hospital in Brooklyn, and her son miraculously survived the incident. Keisha was not done, though. Her maniacal plan included getting rid of the newborn infant.

Six days after the baby's birth, Jones tried yet again to dispose of the child. The deranged woman called up the hospital where the child was admitted and told workers that she was going to have some breast milk delivered to the infant. Jones then sent an unidentified man to the hospital with two 20-ounce Poland Spring containers filled with a milky substance. Unbeknown to the hospital workers, the milky-colored liquid was laced with a toxic chemical. Hospital workers became suspicious of the delivery and immediately called police. Police are still trying to figure out who the male milk carrier was but do not believe Anthony Sr., was involved.

Jones faces reckless endangerment and forged medical prescription charges, both felonies, and a misdemeanor criminal impersonation charge. She is expected to be arraigned today.

Anthony Jr. is reported to be in good condition at Kings County Hospital. According to Hunter, "The doctors told me he's going to be okay."
